Excessive Panting I need help! Right now my Roxy is excessively panting. She has plenty of fresh water and she just won't drink it. I even changed it a couple of times to see if she would and she just takes a few licks and that's it. I need some advice or something. Is panting normal??? She curled up sleeping right now and her breathing is still fast. Should I be concerned? |

How old is your baby and how much does she weigh?? |
I think I woudl be calling a vet....Could she have gotten over heated? |
She'll be 5 months on the 19th. On her 4 month checkup she was 4 lbs. The doc says shes "normal" size...whatever that means to them... |

if you have the heat outside that we do now.. panting is NORMAL... lol.. it's a steam bath outside! Do you have a straw or an eye dropper that you can get some water in her just so you know you she has some. Are her gums/tongue extremely red? this is a sign of heat stroke. Was she playing earlier? can you get her to eat a treat? |

sounds normal. Panting is how they cool themselves. |
