Neighbors Dog and Cat Please HELP ME..

I couldn't get anything done until today (Thru) and really didn't get much more done. I called the HS and left a message, then I called the Police Dept. and they let me talk to Animal Control. So I talked to him, told him I had proof of how he was being treated they could see. He said he'd do a drive by and see what he could see. I told him he could see it, even explained to him how the Shih Tzus can't handle the heat or cold due to their noses. (I looked this up today on the internet before calling again...Thinking that might be a good enough reason to take him). I told him I wanted the cat and dog take away from her. He said if he seen any signs of neglect then he would take them. And she could get fined $75.00 for allowing her cat to roam the neighborhood. I told him if he didn't take them away then she would put them in the shed as she did Shy and her litter last year in the Summer or in the garage. Told him everything I told you here at YT.

I told him I had 5 Yorkies and that Tyes hair needed dematting everyday and that his eyes needed wiped out just like I do mine Yorkies and if I can care for my 5 Yorkies everyday then she should be able to care for 1 dog and a cat.

He had the GUTS to tell me I needed a Kennel Lic. if I had 4 or more dogs...I said really well I tried to get one last year and I was told I couldn't due to our County not having them...Well it's in the ordiance this year...I said where do I go to get one? He said call the City. I said who do I talk to? He said well I don't know!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe he had the GUTS to tell me to get a Kennel Lic. but yet didn't know who I talked to in order to get one...I said well when you find out can you call me? He said yes...I said well if we're suppose to have a Kennel Lic. for more then 4 dogs then why don't you post it in the Newspaper so us owners will know this and if others knows this then maybe it would put a stop to alot of this Back Yard Breeding. He said well I'll have to bring this up at the next meeting. So I called the City of course like last year had to leave a message....No one called me back.

So he drove by this was like around 1 pm. He stopped, here she came out in her nightgown and MUST of threw him a SOB story for he left without Tye or Shy (Cat) oh I was so very hot She did rub Tyes back then, made me want to throw up. Sorry but it did. If you only knew how good, proper and prissy she acts with herself and her children then to see her do what she is doing to Tye and Shy then each of you would want to throw up too.

The HS called me back...I told her what I told you here at YT and she sounded mad at the Animal Control man...Said if he did his job right then he would of told her she has to have a dog house for Tye. She told me to call her around 2 today (Fri) if he didn't have a dog house.

And that I didn't have to worry about a Kennel Lic. for there isn't any in our County and that Animal Control man didn't know what he was talking about. I said well he said it was on the ordiance this year...She said yes and it's been there for years but they haven't done anything about it.

As soon as Animal Control left here she got Tye new water and food, my girls was eating lunch and seen it. Well don't you know she did the BARE minumin that she had to in order NOT to get them taken away from her...A friend of hers brought her a dog house and a self feeder...Oh yeah I was roasting by now...Ranting and Raving. Here she had to GUTS to leave that poor baby outside STILL and it 96 degrees and humid today...Still left the childrens table there and he was still laying under it. None of us ever seen him get in the dog house.

Oh and she left of course and left him outside...Did come back while we was eating our dinner around 7 pm this evening...(Shy the cat still in the chair outside some fine she got)Then when we was done and came in she must of took Tye in to ???? I hope she gave him a bath and I bet you well see him SHAVED in the next few days for I KNOW she won't take the time to dematt him for she is to busy keeping the roads hot.

I'm still going to call the lady back at the HS and see what AC told her and see if there isn't something more I can do to get them out of there. I'm telling you some County and City we have here. If that lady at the HS tells me there is nothing I'm going to tell her oh yes there is for I won't sit here and watch ANY dog or cat SUFFER like they are. I know he'll be back out there tomorrow if not tonight (He spent the night out Wed night as my good neighbor Rick said he was out when he went to work @ 5 am) or the cat and kittens will be in the shed soon.

Any thoughts now beside trying to steal him??? I can't do that...What would that teach my 2 girls??? I don't know I feel so lost in helping him NOW. My heart truly breaks for him. If you could see how his tail wagged when they came home and how he stood up and looked at the door and they just went inside never talking to him or touching him. Breaks my heart. Hugs to all Lee

You can contact Peta. I am NOT a fan of Peta but they do investigate complaints. In the county I work Peta called my office twice about complaints they had gotten in my county. It wouldn't hurt anything to contact them. I would get my own trap to catch the cat. I am glad you are trying to help these poor animals. So many people just ignore abuse.

I would do anything in my power to save the dog if I lived near Tye's owner. I have been left sitting in the middle of no where before in the rain with a puppy because it didn't have any where to go and I was not about to leave it. I finally got ahold of someone to come get me and the puppy. I got her healthy and found her a wonderful and it makes me feel SO good inside to know that I saved her!!!!

Maybe you could help him "escape" from his chain one day when your kids are not home. And then run in and call the animal shelter and report a stray dog walking around...maybe you other neighbor (the nice one) could catch him when you let him loose and the animal control could come and get him from your neighbor. Just a thought I hope you can figure something out.

I knew someone with a dog that was in HORRIBLE worse than a puppy mill conditions and I couldn't do anything about it...I was going to steal the dog and give it to someone or something when the owner was not home....well I found out 2 days ago that I was to late to save the poor boy he died of a heat stroke while his owners were out running the roads. I slap my self everytime I think of him!!!

She needs to get her a$$ beaten. I mean come on it's too freaking hot for her to be outside and you put the damn dog out there. She should be tied to the tree and left to lay under the picnic table. I can't understand why she would keep him and not rehome him if she doesnt' have the time, energy or inclination to take care of him.

I know it's wrong to tell you to steal him because odds are your the one that would get in trouble but jesus I don't know if I could not steal him.

Oh girls you don't know how bad I want to take him...But I WOULD be the one to suffer for my ACTIONS this I know as I think she has a idea it was me or Rick and Lisa (Good neighbors) that turned her in!!! I got home from taking my 9 yr old to the DR and she was setting outside again in her nightgown and this was around noon (Don't know what it is with her nightgown and outside but she does it lol) I looked over her way and she stubbed that NOSE up and every so slowly turned her head right toward Tye...I though oh lady...If only you knew.

Anyway she did just what he MUST of TOLD her to do for she CHOPPED and I mean CHOPPED his hair off...No puppy cut on the face just CHOPPED looks like with scissors not with a pair of clippers...Now don't get me wrong I've chopped some of my Yorkies coats up not knowing how to trim or cut them but NEVER do to being told to do it.

It was storming here this afternoon and I did see him in his dog house...He came out after the rain and rolled in the yard and I thought you go Tye get all dirty so she has to rebath you lol. I just don't know about her. Her day will come. I can't call animal control as they know I'm the ONE who turned her in and will not take him from me as they will know I stole him. She would call and report it as me I know this. But he'll get a new home soon somehow the Prayers will be answered...I just hope it isn't like my Hubby said with the heat as we HAVEN'T even seen the hottest temps yet. So please pray for him to find a good home here on this earth.

My Good neighbor called me tonight (Rick) and said that her cat was in his garage and he was going to catch it and take it to his In-Laws farm where it could be with other cats and eat and have a good life...Ask me for my small dog carrier...Said when he caught it he would call me to get it...He's just as tired of it as we are. So that will be a plus...He's leaving his big door closed but his back screen door open for Shy to come in to his garage. He'll catch her and she'll have a good life soon.

I'm still stuck with finding out what to do with Tye tho...I'm hoping I can get something on her with heat for his not suppose to be in the heat...I tried to call the HS today but no answer. So I'll just keep trying... Just keep Praying for them both and that Shy doesn't have her kittens BEFORE she gets to go to the farm or we're in trouble. There's NOTHING she can say about Shy coming up missing as she is LETTING her run the neighborhood!!!

And she SHOULD know that Tye can get stolen as our Kipper did in our back yard here where we live at here across from her. She is mad I know that but oh well if the shoe fits wear it. She'll wait a while and say something to me watch and see then I'm gonna tell her what I think.

I thought about leaving the stuff I found in her door about heat stroke and Tye but like Rick said she'd tell the kids it's some ad and throw it away as soon as she seen his breed name on the paper and she would not read it and you know he's been here longer then we have and been neighbors with her long then us, so he's more then likely right. She is an evil and nasty person. Wonder why she decides to sit on her porch in her nightie. Guess it's hot so she doesn't want to wear clothes so she should be a bit smarter about Tye.

My blood just boils over her stupidity. Glad your have come up with a solution to give Shy and her kitties a better life.

Shy and Tye should just be bad animals and go pee and poo on her bed. I am ready to go pee and poo on her bed as a act of protest.

Please Ladies don't think just because I haven't posted about Tye and Shy that I've given up on them both...NO WAY...I've been trying my best to help them this past week!!!!!!

Summer 2007 I called the HS on her for Shy the cat was out in the shed in unbearable temps with kittens...Left message for them to call me back...NO RESPONSE what so ever back to me.

June, 12 08: Called the Animal Control and he came out to her house, must of told her that Tye needed this and that...She did that, got dog house, new self watering bowl, chopped his coat.

June, 12 08: Called HS on her said if she didn't have a dog house out there for him by next day to call her back, well of course she did have one.

June, 18 08: Good Neighbors Rick and Lisa called Police Dept. told them Tyes Left eye is matted closed...Would NOT send a Officer out to check...Lisa placed a complaint against her cat (Shy) for using the bath room in their garden and gravel around their pond...(She too was trying to get something done) NEVER seen anyone come over to her house. And his self watering bowl is gone and he's down to a regular 2 double bowl.

June, 19 08: I called the HS AGAIN left a message (Can't never get ahold of anyone) with my PHONE # and her ADDRESS and told them about Tyes Left eye matted closed...Haven't heard a word from them, no HS come by that I know of... Tye and Shy is STILL there.

June, 20 08: Rick (Good Neighbor) said he looked at Tyes eye that morning close up and it is MATTED and not just hair hanging over it, as my Hubby thought it MIGHT be...Rick said NO it's MATTED...The hair is matted to his eye also!!!

June, 21 08 (Today): I called HS AGAIN left another message about Tyes eye being matted...Told them everything as I did on June, 19....

Also told them on my message if they did NOT CONFISCATE the Cat (Which is for sure pregnant, belly hanging now) and Dog BY Tuesday, June 24 08 @ 9:00 A.M. that I had witnessed the horriable abuse these 2 living animals was going through and I had it on Video and I WILL forward this VIDEO with a LETTER to the ASPCA & the HSUS and let them know that MY local HS here in MY TOWN would NOT do something about this abuse...They are open from 3 P.M to 5 P.M today so they better get their buts in gear or ???? I mean this with all my heart...I am a very stubbern Lady when it comes to abuse of a Child or Animal.

I said I DO NOT want Animal Control to pick them up for she will tell him another sob story and AC will leave them there. I also to them that cat will have her kittens and be PLACED in the shed or garage with they all WILL DIE this SUMMER and I WON'T STAND BY and SEE this HAPPEN to ANIMALS in MY NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!!!!!

I said I WAS NOT giving up till they CONFISCATE this DOG and CAT...So I'm NOT they have till TUESDAY, June 24 2008 @ 9:00 A.M. and if those babies are still there then there will be heck to pay by someone somewhere. I'm SICK of this...I'm NOW trying to video his eye matted but have to wait for her to be gone!!! I'll get it tho by Tuesday!!! He has NOT had a bath since she put him out there the day she chopped his coat...He is FILTHY and I know they both have FLEAS which isn't good for them!!!

No one can take him for we don't know if he is microchipped and KNOWING her acting like she loves him and all would call and place flyers with his photo on it at EVERY Vet around and if anyone took him, he'd HAVE to go to the VET for his eye and GOD only knows what else.

It is SICK that NOTHING is being DONE and if the Good Lord above gives me the strength and a way they WILL not be there. Any other thoughts to help me get them OUT of this MESS this COMING WEEK???? They have to get out or they WILL die...I have NO doubts about this...Please PRAY that someone, somewhere will help these 2 babies. Hugs To All Lee

June, 23 08 I called HS again today...First to repeat my message above just to make sure they knew that I wasn't giving up @ 10:22 A.M....2nd Call at 10:38 A.M. after the 1st call/message was to leave another message that I thought that Shy was having her kittens NOW behind the bushes as the lady that owned her and Tye was with a friend looking behind the bushes...I told them that those kittens was DOOMED to die as she will put them in her shed or garage in the heat. Still nothing from them, I've give her address, my phone number and still no response it's 10:19 P.M here and they are still there at her house...I'm calling who I said I was tomorrow and maybe a few others (Haven't read through the post all here to see if there is any other new places I can contact)



I haven't seen Shy outside at all....Not even this morning...I'm almost sure she had her kittens. I called Rick and Lisa right off after I called the HS and they said as they was leaving they noticed them all looking over the bushes also, they said when they came back the owner was gone and they went and looked behind the bushes and Tye wasn't there so I'd say she took them inside until they are either older or till night time to move them when no one can see her do it. Tye hadn't come out of his dog house all day...I did see her give him water and rehook his self watering thing back up...So now he's going to have HOT water all day long....And when they came home tonight around 9 P.M. Tye didn't even come out of his dog house...I told my Hubby something is wrong with Tye for he didn't come out until after a few minutes after they went inside...Hubby said he's depressed...I said not for long if I can get anything done about it!! I just know by the time anyone does anything then she'll have him all cleaned up but I have new video and photos of him & Shy... (Going to try to post here now). Can the ASPCA or HS go into her home to get Shy and her kittens??? I want them all removed. Please say a prayer for them tonight for me to get something done tomorrow for them. Hugs Lee

Take pictures and video to keep as evidence.
Also, if you call the humane society/animal control and no one will help you after you give them these details...I would take the dog when they are not around and drive it straight to a rescue.

If you lived near me, I'd be able to put him in our rescue.

The only thing is, in my county, if you take a dog from it's residence without permission, even if it's abandoned, you can be charged with felony theft. (Personal property.) I just found this out a couple of weeks ago.

(Years ago I had a similar situation with a neighbor, and I took their dog and gave it to a great home!) If you talked to this neighbor about rehoming any dogs, she would take it to the pound and have it put to sleep out of spite. She was a horrible person...and she has since moved.

I wouldn't mess with the cat..I got into a scrap with a cat that belonged to my other neighbors, who was always in my yard, and I was trying to get it off my deck (I don't want any worms, or other yuckies in my yard from them) and the bastard bit the crap out of me!! I wound up with 15 puncture wounds, and the joy of getting rabies shots....horrible stuff!

I still have scars from that blasted cat...I find it humorous because I train dogs but have no scars from dog bites...my scars are from a cat bite!

Do you have a feral cat catch and release program? You may want to check because they will trap the cat, and fix it. They will bring it back to release it, but at least it can't reproduce. And outdoor cats have a VERY short life span...cars, dogs, getting, shot, fights, poisoned...I don't know why people have cats just to have them outside.

I know how you feel, really. It's a horrible feeling to not have help for animals like this, when it is in your face animal cruelty!

My dogs have fresh water, a pool to cool off in, spend most of their time indoors, and get a lot of attention from my family. I just can't fathom having a dog and leaving it outside tied to a tree!!!

I hope you have a "good" update for us soon.

This has really pissed me off...not you...but the situation. You have 5 dogs who are treated like family, and they have one dog that is treated like trash!!! How can they live with themselves???

I just saw that you have been doing those things! You could take him in to have him micro chipped scanned (say you found him) and then if he is, return him. If he isn't take him...
