| Ok so my little Bandit will be 11 weeks old on Saturday and he has been sleeping with us since we got him....well we tried keeping him in his playpen at the end of the bed but all he would do is cry for hours and I couldnt get any sleep that way so we let him sleep with us....he did really good with not peeing in the bed at first but now he goes to the end of the bed and just pees....well we have the play pen against the end of the bed and it has that changing station attached to it...well thats his bathroom....there is a pee pad in it. He uses the pee pad when we are awake but when we got to sleep he wont use it. and for the first time....when I got up this morning and was getting ready I turned around and he was peeing on the bed right in front of me and he was only about 8 inches from his pee pad!! I dont know what we are going to do....we are trying to figure out something. We dont want to crate him but we may have no choice since he can now climb out of his playpen!! LOL. Anyways good luck in your decision!! |

| Lulu sleeps in the bed with us. She actaully has her own pillow that she sleeps on, and it's right above my head. Don't ask me how that started, but that is where she likes to sleep. It's better anyway, no worrying about squishing her. She wakes us up when she has to go potty, which is pretty rare, she usually sleeps through the night now at 5 month old. |

| Mia has been sleeping with us in bed since we brought her home. I had a crate all set up for her to sleep in, but I'm a softy and gave into the crying and she never was put in her crate again... i'm so bad. I was worried about her falling off the bed, so i lined the floor around the bed with layers of pillows (we have hard wood floors). She's never once had an accident in bed. We made some doggy steps for her, so anytime she needs to potty, she goes right down to her pad, and back up again when she's done.

| Because hes so young and probably tiny Id be a little scared that he might wander off his pillow and get hurt by one of you in your sleep by accident. I didnt let mine in bed until they were 6 months old. But if he staying there and neither of you mind him there, then go for it!

| Harley is 4 months old and about 2.5 lbs. I've had her for about 6-7 weeks now. I didn't get much sleep for the first few nights because of all the crying, so I finally gave in and put her in bed with me. She's slept there every night. She's never had a problem in the bed at night. She used to come and stand on my side of the bed to wake her up and let her get on her pads. Then I bought some little dog stairs and now she just runs up and down the stairs when she needs to go. Sometimes she likes to play after peeing (around 3am) so she stays on the floor and comes up in the bed when she is ready to go back to sleep. I move around quite a bit but Harls doesn't seem to mind. She likes to snuggle up next to me and has to be touching me at all times. If I roll over on my side she gets up next to my back, and once, I started to roll on her but she cried a little and woke me up. She hasn't been hurt though. Sometimes I put her in her bed on the floor next to my bed. She'll sleep in there until she wakes up then she will come get up in my bed. I like her in my bed. My girlfriend doesn't though, so I guess I got to be better about Harls sleeping in her bed. |

| All four of mine sleep with me and I've had Caesar and Lucy since they were 8 weeks old. We never had a potty accident. If they started moving around I took them to the potty and later I got stairs. With cookie's last litter I had one puppy that raised such a ruckus I was positive the neighbors could hear him, even though he was in the house. He got all his litter mates going and I didn't get any sleep, so when he was 7 weeks old I started taking him to bed with me. As soon as he was out of the puppy room the other puppies could sleep and so could I. When I found him a new home I told his new mommy that he would be very vocal at night unless he could sleep in her bed and she didn't have any problem with that. |

| Remy has been in the bed with us since the day we brought him home! he hasn't had any accidents in the bed, however, we got him doggie stairs so that he can get up & down if he needs to and use his pee-pee pad. i know that it will be very hard [no, probably impossible] to get him to sleep anywhere else at this point, but i like having him close at night-especially when i work during the day ![]() he is 7 mos. old-almost 5 lbs

| ugh..this is such a testy subject........ i`m dealing with something similar myself Okay... so we have an xpen..our girls have it great... its like a mini bedroom for a princess... very cute... very fuzzy..very pink. They love it in their xpen. However, as I started fulltime back in January, I would be gone during the days, and to bond with them, I bought a special blanky for them which I`d set up on the sofa, and the girls would sit on it and watch tv with me in the evenings when i got home. Now its become a nightly ritual. The second its 9pm, Jaya is up looking for that blanky and wanting to settle down for the night. She knows the rules though - after a while I simply pick her up and put her on her own bed in the xpen, and she is fine. However, if they do not get their time on the sofa, and i simply put them in their beds - they can`t sleep and howl and scream to be let out. I don`t have any problem with letting them be on the sofa with me....... its just that everybody else in the house does. My hubby gets super annoyed and starts in on the whole `you are giving them bad habits! and its going to make life difficult for everyone else and dogs shudnt be on sofas!` And I guess it does make life difficult for everyone else....... I was visiting my parents last month for a week, and I left the girls at home with my hubby, and they howled and screamed every single night..... he was forced to do my nightly ritual with them... It just really bothers him that we are now tied to doing this `habit`with them... and he thinks I am totally spoiling them *shrugs*.......... it is just as important to me to snuggle with them in the evening, so i am okay with it. And to tell you the truth, I am just as much dependent on that time with them as they are with me. If you and your gf are okay doing this -then I see nothing wrong with it. Its honestly a bonding time, and its comforting to both you and the pup. |
