Harley is 4 months old and about 2.5 lbs. I've had her for about 6-7 weeks now.
I didn't get much sleep for the first few nights because of all the crying, so I finally gave in and put her in bed with me. She's slept there every night. She's never had a problem in the bed at night. She used to come and stand on my side of the bed to wake her up and let her get on her pads. Then I bought some little dog stairs and now she just runs up and down the stairs when she needs to go. Sometimes she likes to play after peeing (around 3am) so she stays on the floor and comes up in the bed when she is ready to go back to sleep.
I move around quite a bit but Harls doesn't seem to mind. She likes to snuggle up next to me and has to be touching me at all times. If I roll over on my side she gets up next to my back, and once, I started to roll on her but she cried a little and woke me up. She hasn't been hurt though.
Sometimes I put her in her bed on the floor next to my bed. She'll sleep in there until she wakes up then she will come get up in my bed. I like her in my bed. My girlfriend doesn't though, so I guess I got to be better about Harls sleeping in her bed. |
