Should I feel guilty?

They think I am the most important person in the world, and when I am with them I think so too. The love in a furbabys eyes when it looks at you is totally priceless. I think that is why the love between us and our furfaces is so strong, it is totally unconditional, and always obvious. Sherry

That's it in a nutshell! You said everything for me, thanks! No, I don't think you should feel quilty. God put dogs on this earth to be man's companion. They are our best friend (not our spouses? ). They are the ones who pick up on our moods. They are the ones who know when we need a hug... As moms, we give give give, and these little dogs are the ones who give back. My darling kids are sweeties, but they are human beings who will grow up and leave someday. I'll be proud of what they become. My puppies will be here til their last day, my little companions.

Okay, I forgot to mention my hubbie He just doesn't talk as much as my Trixie. lol

I also thought of another reason not to feel guilty...

You're teaching your children, by example, how to be kind to animals!

Of course they're jealous...doesn't everyone want to be talked to and kissed like we treat our furbabies? If I'd treat my 15 yr old son that way, he'd push me away and say, "cut it out, Mom." Therefore, I do it to my dogs!
