I know how BADLY you want Lacy's hair to be long...it will get there I promise I do LOVE Tatum's hair...but I just hate the fact that it only looks like it does in these pictures after she has had her bath. Well ok I lie. She looks pretty much exactly like that even if she has gone 2 weeks without a bath (YES, I have done it before!) but ONLY right after I brush her. As soon as she starts playing or goes outside or lays down to take a nap and then gets up - BAM...it's back to looking all messy again and I just HATE that sooo much I am so picky about her hair and I don't like it when she looks all messy and like she hasn't been brushed. It drives me absolutely CRAZY! Errrr I don't know, someone needs to invent a "perfect hair" dog pill lol What I was thinking I could do to help get rid of this "short hair itch" is to just do it to Stedman Reason being is because his hair is nowhere NEAR Tatum's length anyway. I HAVE to keep his hair shorter because of that darn belly band His hair tangles easier than Tatum's does too, so it would actually be easy for me to do it to him.....I THINK?? LOL. Heck, I don't know!!

I just keep thinking to myself, man...wouldn't it be so easy if his hair were shorter and all I had to do was strap the band on him and be done with it Geez, I can't even imagine... lol.

lol...kidding, I actually don't mind it at all. I really don't. I am always brushing my babies, even sometimes just for fun when I am sitting down watching t.v. or whatever. It is kind of relaxing and they really enjoy it too - well, Tatum does anyway....Stedman? Not so much I LOVE Rylie's hair...it is so pretty and will get prettier and prettier as it grows I do have pictures of Stedman when the first (and ONLY) groomer we ever took him too nearly butchered him, and I absolutely HATED his hair that short (he was SHAVED )...I would never go that short with him again. Just trim him up a little and even everything out. There is no telling. Knowing me I will probably just end up giving them their usual little trims and be done with it cause deep down I think I really am too chicken to do anything else lol Hey I never asked you, are you keeping Rylie?? I thought you said that you were only going to have him for a month, or a few months but maybe I am just dreaming He is SO cute! Love his adorable little face!

				 | Yeah, when I got him in October I was supposed to give him back at Thanksgiving...which I did. I left him at my parents for two weeks, and then I went to stay with them for the month of December while I was on Christmas break. And then they sent him back with me in January because they were going to be traveling a lot. So by the time I went to visit for Spring Break, I kindof knew I'd be keeping him, but I wasn't positive because he is technically my sister's dog (she lives with my parents but she didn't take care of him..my parents did). Well, he came back with me. I've had him for 7 months now so I'm pretty positive he's staying with me. I don't see my sister moving out of my parents house anytime soon and being ready to really take on the responsibility of a dog, and he's pretty used to being with Lacy and me now. We're pretty attached now. So I'm like 95% sure he'll be with me forever..hope so.

What type of coat?? I'm not so sure how to answer that one, does that sound totally stupid?? I thought all Yorkies had the same coat!! (other than color) Roxi did stay Black & tan, and she has a very soft coat.....OH no, I feel like a TOTAL dummy now!!!!!!

				 | The correct coat according to standard is a silky coat...it's fine and cool to the touch like fine human hair. But there are other coat types too: cottony soft coats (Rylie has this coat)...it is really thick and very soft and more "warm" to the touch I guess. You can also have a coarser or wirey coat..more terrier like. Lacy has a coarser silky coat. Coarser coats don't grow as well and break off easier...the coarser the coat the worse it grows. You can also get a modified silk coat which is kindof in between a true silky coat and a soft cottony coat.

| Yorkie Yakker | I know where you are coming from, I have several yorkies with lllloooong hair. When I get over whelmed I braid it in corn rolls They don't seem to mind and it sure helps me. . I even do this when they are having puppies . Try it, it might work for you |
