| Do any of your yorkies wear collars at all times? If so, what size/type of collar is it? Where did you purchase it? How do you keep it from matting their hair? Also, where did you find a tiny id tag for it? I have looked at PetCo/Petsmart, but theirs are all fairly large. Thank you!!!

| I have teapots . So no problem with collar. I got my id tags from Discount Pet Supplies, Pet Supply, Online Pet Supplies. I would get a cat collar -break away. or just put the tags on the harness.

| Callie always has her collar and tags on unless she is getting bathed or brushed because I have a fear of her running out the door and someone scooping her up and not seeing a tag or collar and thinking well she has no home and is mine now. Callie is a teapot so her collar is just a small (pink lol) collar from petsmart and I ordered her a small tag off of ebay that has her name and my number on it and she also wears her rabies tag because we take her to the dog park once a week and that one does seem a little big and ugly there should be a market for cute rabies tags lol. She does mat a little under it but only when he hair is growing out a bit because I keep her hair short and I brush it everyday and that helps.

YT 2000 Club Member | Maggy May wears a harness, but ONLY when I take her outside on the leash, I take it right off her soon as we come back in. I figure having a harness on all the time is like having a bra on and us woman know we can't wait to be able to take that off at the end of the day, so I won't let Maggy wear the harness except for when I'm outside with her. Her hair is getting long and it never gets matted in it.

| My two have their collars on all the time. We do have harness's on them also. We had their name and phone # embroidered in the collar. We do have them micro-chipped and name tags on the collars. Wow, do I sound paranoid or what? I think it's a personal decision as to using a collar.

| Mine have their collars on all the time. Both are in puppy cuts. We use harnesses for walks and car rides. Since we have no fence(townhouse), they go outside to potty in the yard on leashes and we do just clip those on their collars since there is no pulling (they are just outside 30 seconds to pee). So it's easiest for us to leave the collars on because they don't like wearing their harnesses all day and then we don't have to put them on and take them off 15 times a day. They are just plain nylon collars by Premier. Premier makes one that is 6-9", so does Lupine (I have some Lupine on my site). I also have some breakaways in case you are worried about them getting caught on something and you won't use a leash at all with it. I found a tiny stainless steel tag for Sam at Boomerangtags.com They fit 3 lines on BOTH sides and it is really engraved well, not like the instant ones at the stores. Make sure you add "needs daily meds" and I also added "microchipped" in case they ever needed additional contact information beyond the # listed on the tag. Also, people would hopefully be more likely to find me quickly if they know she is microchipped and needs medication! Sam's tag says: SAMMY My Name My Number Backside: NEEDS MEDS MICROCHIPPED REWARD

| Teddi wears a collar all the time (I mean besides it's a fashion statement). She also has charms (a name tag, a bell, a charm with a T and her license). All her charms are on one round thing with a clip so I take it off at night so she doesn't jingle all night but during the day I want her to jingle so I know where she is!

My Little Man! Donating Member | Maxi wears his breakaway collar all the time and we use harness for walks. I usually get breakaway collar which are the cat collars. I dont want my baby to choke if the collar gets stuck somewhere when I am not home. The id tags I found that are small and cute: Pet Tags For Dog, Puppy, Cats, Personalized, Engrave, Engraveable

| Meeko wears a collar at all times for his tags. He's in a puppy cut, so I don't have to worry about mats. I just take it off when I brush him at night. I got my tag online, i think it was boomerang tags. It's really tiny, and it's made of this plastic. He loves licking and biting metal, so the plastic is best for us. |

| I have a question to add that's similar.. Do you leave the collars on when you are gone and they are in an x-pen or crate? I have a metal x-pen, and wondering what you do. Thanks!
