![]() Welcome new members... DR Wendy turned out to be a broker..posted on other Yorkie sites trying to buy pups in bulk..too bad. There are US Biewer breeders, but they are for the most part commerical..I saw some on another site..USABreeders.com...but these are serious, in your face commerical kennel owners...I read it for information..they do alot of their own vet care. My Biewer girl is 8 months now and a real nut...lots of fun. She just left to go back to MD to stay with the co-breeder..I miss her antic's.

![]() Ever since I got Oreo, i was wondering where in the world did he get his color from? He's a Yorkie/Pomeranian. I've seen the mother, which is a standard pomeranian (the sable color). and the father is a tiny Classic Yorkie (black & tan) .. But Oreo.. has came out Dark brown close to a black, with white stripe down his mouth, chest, and on the back toes! ![]() ![]()

![]() Orinshy, Several years ago, I contacted the author of the article you quoted about coloration in Yorkies. A blue-born puppy was the get from a very well-known line in our area. I took the baby from the breeder when she was 6 weeks old-she had been hidden away from everyone and was in a crate in the back room. So, I took her! Then, I started researching--I contacted the author and you notice she said "I received a call""that might be me! I had many discussions with her, she sent copies of her article and I also talked at length with Terri Shumski. I placed that girl in a pet home...as a rescue. She broke her foot just walking on the deck.. Seems a calcium deficiency. I had to put sunscreen on her hairless ears and back. Any where her coat would be blue as adult had a short, dry feel like very fine steel-wool. Her tan fringe grows and must be groomed. She is in her second home now and is mostly healthy. I did not give her vaccines nor have her spayed til she was olde..vets agreed we should wait as I never took her out. Her mom now has only 1 child-that Yorkie.. If I had any idea how to post a pic I could show you her pic as adult. I had a computer crash and lost all of her baby pics. I have always loved the underdog for any reason and I love these off-color babies. Would I spend good money to buy a blue-born? Not on your life!!! She scared me to death the times she came to stay here between homes.. YorkieRose helped so much in that search for info and I try to keep up-to-date as much as possible..

![]() Just picked up on these old posts as I have been seeing lots of chocolate yorkies and "biros" being shown on the internet especially from russian breeders. I know the yorkies are all the rage there just now and you should see how they deck them out with exotic hair cuts and sequins and glitter on their backs and ears but these new entries have me puzzled. Anybody have more info on this trend?
