![]() Oranske! That was a lot of looking around the web to find that great information! Thank you for that! We all learned a lotd from those articles! Now I have a question! My Yorkie has silver hair on the top of his head. I thought this was okay until I read the post. Is this acceptable? YORKIE ROSE! Did you go to Germany to get your Biewer? Or did they ship him to you? Did you have trouble with the laws bringing him here? It sounds really intriging. Let us know how you got him! Pat

![]() Yorkies are all colors on their heads..some start out silver and turn gold, some stay silvery all their life..unless the Yorkie is for breeding/showing the shades are not that important. I got my Biewer from a German breeder who sells to Americans. It is quite easy and safe to ship. None of my friends have run into any problems.

![]() silver or blueish gray is actually a prefered color......... my toby is getting more "silver" as well......... it also becomes more noticable if you trim their hair back ... (i cut toby's hair and the black tips were the only thing keeping his head so dark)....... silver is an acceptable color...... it is just when they are BORN that color when you have problems

| ![]() OH! Okay! I thought I saw other ones here with the silver on their heads. But I wasn't sure it was acceptable. It wouldn't really matter as she is a delight. I never registered her as we had her spayed and I am keeping her for a pet only so never saw the need. I did register her chip, however. Have you the web page of the German Breeder? It would be interesting to see. I know you said they were very expensive. Do you have a picture of him in the photo gallery? Just went to the web page from above. My gosh! They are really, really cute! I would love to have one! They look like their noses may not be as thin, but it could be because they are all young. Arn't they darling? | ![]() That is just really something! It intrigues me. I guess wew never know what they will come out as really. At any rate he is a cutey! They are the best dogs in the world as far as I am concerned. They are so loving and parasitic! Ha! But really love to be by you all the time! Guess it's the maternal instinct coming out in us! After raising 4 children, I really enjoy my little gal! Pat |

![]() He's so cute! He has this 'wisened' look to him -- he's very silky looking too! Having his ear hair grown out makes him look different too. I think that's the first pic I've seen where the ear hair is long -- but it looks good!
