| ![]() Bella only barks when she's out back and hears something on the other side of the fence, she's just being protective. We don't leave her outside so it's not a problem. She never barks inside, she'll "talk" to me when she wants to play but it's just a single quick muffled bark. We even took her to the sportsman show this past weekend and there were dogs all over the place and people testing animal calls (bird, elk, deer, etc) and she never barked once. I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule but we've never had a problem ![]()

| ![]() Tucker only barks if he wants to play. Also, when he is in his xpen and we are eating. I think it's because he can see us and wants to be with us. Sometimes, if he doesn't stop, I put him in his crate until we are finished eating and he stays completly quiet until I let him out. I carry him most places with me in a dog carrier/purse and he is so quiet that he is rarely noticed ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() I think that's just a stereotype for yorkies, ya know, "Yappy Yorkies". Bailey rarely barks, and Maggie only barks when she sees squirriels, raccoons, and cats. ![]() |

| ![]() LOL, like many others have already said, my Yorkie barks when I don't pay attention to her, but it is a bossy bark aimed at me, no one else. So its not random ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() yorkies are not yappers! I have no idea who cooked this idea up. My little Roxy weighs just a bit over 3 lbs and when she barks it is at a someone at the door or at squirrels in the yard -- but she sounds like a big dog - she has the most incredible big dog bark. Bubba never barked until recently & he just turned 6, he has now decided he should bark to tell me he wants his favorite treat at night - a carrot.

| ![]() McKenzie doesn't bark a ton, except for while playing and on other dogs on walks, but it is definitely a high, shrill bark ![]() |
