......I have two maltese that I rescued! My one from a pound and he other due to an "unusual" situation where she needed to get out! And I would do it again.

I admire you for your honesty and even more so for saving the helpless dogs, you should be applauded! There is nothing wrong with what you did, as we understand about not knowing whether or not to reveal the truth about your yorkie. Many of us have found ourselves in the same postion here.

Mary, I bet it feels really good to get that off your chest. But don't worry, we arent going to judge you. A lot of us got our dogs from places that we now know we shouldn't have. You saved those poor dogs' lives, and if you didn't get Max that wouldn't have happened, would it? Don't feel guilty. You are a wonderful person.

we all feel like we need to rescue them at some point or another, even if we say we don't. My mom and I went into a pet store one time after we dropped Tucker off at the groomer. We went in the back and in a small cage there was the cutest little cockapoo. The only thing that kept us from 'saving' him was that he was way too expensive.

I thought I'd tell you that little story to show you that everyone gets that need to save them all. Don't ever feel like you don't deserve to be here. K?

When you know better, you do better -- and we have all seen how much better you've done & the lengths to which you're willing to go to set things right. I said yesterday we were proud of you & I meant it. I'm still proud of what you did to get those dogs out of that so called home.

I am also proud that you are willing to tell the truth to us now. I'm sorry that you felt like you had to hide the truth from us when you first came here, but I understand why. Perhaps those words should speak very loudly to some here. (The tone needs to down turned for newbies - that's another conversation.)

Do I think lying is right - no. But I understand why you held back the truth, even when you first told about the breeder & asked for help on how you could shut her down. I understand that then you were still afraid, the attacking might get in the way of doing the productive thing and getting the answers you needed.

Thank God that with your loving care you have a healthy pup out of everything you have went through. You have helped shut this woman down, most likely saved the lives of many animals, helped educate others in your community and helped educate others on YT about how to go about making a difference with a puppy mill or byb.

You can hold your head high here - especially since you let the truth shine thru in the end. I pray you can hold your head high in your own community. I am praying that you and your family are honored and not chastised for you actions - because that TV report left no room to guess who turned her in. Hopefully, your actions have inspired others to do the right thing - be it ridding the world of another bad breeder or taking action on some other issue.

I think you are pretty darn special, if I must say so, myself!....and coming from someone who posts a bit, but no one but a few on here really even know me at all......you have developed a lot of friends here.....which is why all your friends are so forgiving.....and loving....it is part of life......

Mary, Mary, Mary - it isn't so much what you did in the past but how you learned from the experience and what direction you took. There isn't a person alive who has all the answers but a good person learns from their mistakes and tries to make changes in their life. You knew something was wrong but you didn't know exactly what but after you had time to sort it out you took action. That speaks volumes to me and what kind of person you really are. Don't be ashamed because there isn't a good person on YT who hasn't had to learn the hard way things in life.

Keep your headup and you need to know that your saving these 31 dogs IMHO is more important than how you got Max.

I think you did a couragous thing. I do not think you should be ashamed. I think you were doing what you thought and felt in your heart that was right at the time. You were only protecting yourself and your baby. I also do not think you look bad at all.. You look like a mom that was concerned about her baby and the well being of the other animals as well. You did a good job. Stopping the running of 1 byb is a step forward. GOOD JOB!!!

Mary, I am tears. We all are against pupymills and the lowlife that run them. We try to keep people from getting taken in by these criminals. However, to have gone to what you thought was a respectible breeder, and to be faced with such horror!! I can't even imagine!! You saw that little guy in such a mess; and even knowing that he may have had a disease, or other emotional problems from the life he had been born into, you could not leave him. You were the difference between a life of misery and possible death , and the sheltered life he now lives. You risked taking on the expenses of a puppy that was in terrible shape, because you are a good person. I wouldn't go to a puppymill knowingly, and Lord help me if I go to one accidently. I would have the police there, but she would have been the one calling them!! I would have taken every puppy I could have gotten into my car !! I am not a bad person but such filth and misery would drive me over the wall!!
You are a decent loving person, and I am proud to call you one of my Yt friends. Max is one very lucky little guy.

you may have made the "mistake" of buying from a puppy mill (like a lot of people have done without knowing the full truth) but the difference is that you learned from your "mistake" and did something really good out of it! so now out of the situation, you have your little max that you love sooo much, AND you have helped give many other puppies a happy little life that they deserve, AND you have helped make sure that this awful woman cannot breed and torture any more pups. the good you have done completely out weighs the little white lie you may have told in the start. you are a loving, honest coragous woman and it is many of us that should feel like we do not deserve YOUR friendship!
