I think you are a good and caring person, I to got my Lily from a very bad place and not leaving Max was the right thing. You did what your heart told you to. There should be more people like you.

I just wanted to add....

I can't even imagine all the other people who went to this womans' home looking for a pup and left without doing anything for the ones that where left behind......Those are the people who should be feeling guilty and ashamed of themselves...you had the courage and compassion for all those poor abused dogs to actually do something.....because of you they hopefully will get a second chance at a wonderful home......I really am proud of you!

Mary it is funny how things work out sometimes. You said you wanted to go back and rescue all of them and that is what you ended doing in the end. Now they all will have a chance to be loved and taken care of like they should be. Don't fret about any of the rest because at the end of the day, you are a hero to all of those dogs and alot of people.

Aw, don't feel that way sweety. I understand why you didn't mention on how you got Max. To be honest, that is your choice if you didn't want to tell us. It's none of our business on how you acquired him. I'm glad you were there to save him. Thank you for saving the rest of them. I can't believe they showed you on there. I must say, you're one hot mama . Don't worry girl, we still have love for you here. It wouldn't be the same without you.

Mary, I read your story and I watched the video.....
I, so much, admire your strength of character and the standard's that you choose to live by. You took Max into your life to care for and love. It does not matter where he came from or what story you put out on the internet. You might not think of yourself as a Hero, but you are one to Max, to me & I'm sure to many others here and in your own community.
Max is so blessed to have you, to know your love and care. As a matter of fact, every one of those sweet animals rescued from that hell was blessed by your love and care. What more can any animal ask for in its life? To be clean, well fed, safe & loved.
You are a welcomed member of our community and I know that you have many here who are honored to call you friend, I know that I am. Please, continue to share your life with Max with us.

Ok, relax.... You do belong here. I am so sorry that you felt 'ashamed' to tell the whole truth in the beninging. We are family here and I don't think anyone would bash you for doing something that you honestly felt you needed to do, save Max

Roxy and TJ came from a 'hell hole' - I thought I had researched enough. I consider myself intelligent and realistic, in touch with the world. I thought I did I a good thing by not going to a petstore. When I look back at my deal, there are RED FLAGS all over the place, but at the time, I didn't see them, or maybe I just pretended not to see them. What I saw were 2 little babies, they were suppose to stay small and they were 'cheap' compared to local prices. A boy and girl in one place - Done Deal

Now I know better. Now I know what I will do in the future, RESCUE, not purchase. But, I wouldn't have realized that unless I did what I did and I wouldn't have realized that without this website and all the people and information found here.

I think you did the right thing. Good for you!
