| Bless your heart Mary. What you did is very admirable....you saved little Max from that dispicable woman and another 31 dogs as well. Good for you for telling Max's real story. It warmed my heart to know that you did that for him and he is such a cutie. He's one lucky fellow. I pray you both have many years of happiness ahead of you.

| Mary, so much good has come out of this. You saved Max and a lot of other dogs and people from getting hurt. Bravo! You know whats really cool about this? I think YT will be better off because of this. Everyone can learn something here. Whether it is to not support a puppymill, or to be kind to a newby...you have given us all such an amazing gift by sharing your story, saving those puppies, then telling the more truthful version ( )I am so proud of you. This thread must have been a very difficult one to start, but I hope you feel the pressure lift off your shoulders. We're all family...please dont put yourself through this anymore....this is a burden that nobody should have to bear alone. Thank you for giving me a few things to think about |

| mary i haven't been on here for a while but i just wanted to say don't apologize, you did nothing wrong. i bet 99 % of people on here if they saw those poor pups would of bought one, i know i would of, yes there is the thing of oh well if you give them money your keeping them going and you should walk away but could anyone really do that? walk away from a dog being treated badly? nope . and yes by buying them its keeping them in business but what happens to those poor pups if no one does save them? i will tell you what a horrible death yes in an ideal world puppy farms and byb shouldn't exist but they do and those pups and dogs are HERE NOW and need homes just as much or in some ways more than a pup from a rescue or a good breeder. sadly i don't think in are life times puppy farms and byb will be stopped the only way to stop these people is by doing what you have and i for one would like to say thank you for making a stand. well done you. |

| Mary, you are a YT angel in my eyes. Not only did you save Max, you helped save 31 other little lives than will now have the chance to be loved and hugged and kissed like they deserve. You've done a wonderful thing - Kudo's to you! For you to come on here and bare your soul makes you an even better person for it. I am glad you're here and look forward to watching Max grow. Thank you for what you did .

| I'm in tears reading your letter and everyones responses. Mary, you ARE A YT ANGEL in my eyes too. I think the harshness of some here lead you to lie. I kinda did about Sissy to after buying her from a pet store. I'm so happy those dogs now have a chance at a good life, and all because of you Mary! |

| Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | What!? I sneak a peek at YT while at work, see this thread (so long after you posted it), and then even still have to wait til I get home to post my reply. I too understand your hesitancy in speaking up, having seen many of the not so nice posts (putting it nicely) about puppy mills and so-called byb. Everyone has their opinions on those issues; some people agree, some do not. But everyone is entitled and should not be bashed or judged for it. I do hope that you feel much better now that you have poured your heart out to all of us, but I also feel bad that you felt so much guilt in holding back the whole story about Max. You have nothing to feel guilty about! So you bought Max from that evil lady…..no you didn’t…..you SAVED Max from that evil lady and then turned around and got her shut down! I still say “Hooray for YOU, Bless YOU,…..and I’m still sending YOU a now, not only for saving those dogs, but also another to reassure you that you DO deserve to be a member here on YT and I am still happy and proud to call you my friend. I just hope I deserve to be considered your friend too.

| Remember the story of Joseph in the Old Testament? If his brothers hadn't thrown him into that empty well and then sold him to the Egyptians, then he would have never been able to save his family during the famine. That is my view of what happened to you, Mary. (if I may be so familiar as to call you that). Think of how many lives you have already affected and those that you will----thinking of the blessed families who will have a chance to give one of these little ones a loving home. Joanne |

| Don't feel bad...you can't help what you don't know. I know Lacy didn't come from a good breeder...I knew about puppymills but I didn't really know anything about backyard breeders. If no one has ever told you about something or you haven't learned it from somewhere, you can't be responsible for not knowing something. It's what you do once you know that matters...once you learned about puppymills and how bad they were, you did something about it - you got that lady shut down and saved all those babies! So don't be mad at yourself or feel guilty at all...you did a great thing

| The moral of this story is even if you do the something you aren't proud of (like buying from a puppy mill), never giving up and setting things right for all those other dogs way outweighed that! People talk about carbon neutrality... well... you are puppy mill neutral and then some! Most people would have just given up and you didn't... pat yourself on the back.. you did the right thing in the end. (I would like to think I would come over to her house in the middle of the night and set all the dogs free.... then ship the free to yters all over the world for free). lol (a dog spy) |

| I just want to say I think it's great that you rescued max, and got her whole breeding facilitiy shut down!!! You are definitly a hero to the yorkies and other doggies out their. Not many people would go through with what you did, and you got a sweet little boy out of it. I'm sure every day he thanks you for saving him, and that's all that matters. BTW Max is adorable in the video, he looked a little camera shy in the end..soo cute!!!

| Listen, some people here think that their way is the right way and that is it. How you got Max or where he came from is NO ONE's business!!!What is important is that Max is with you, in a loving home and that is what matters! I bought Cody from a pet shop and someone here told me if I hadnt picked him up yet not to get him. Can you believe her? I dont give a flying @#$% what anyone's opinion is about where Cody came from. He's mine, he's here and he is beautiful!!!! No, I didnt know about puppy mills before getting on this website, would I buy from a pet shop again, probably not. But no one here should judge me or anyone else because of where we got our babies.

| Don't worry about it, Mary. The fact that you didn't feel comfortable about telling the whole story at first says more, sadly, about us as a support group than about you and your honesty. You saved Max and the others and got the woman shut down - what more could anyone want? I got my first furbaby from a pet shop owned by a friend. He lived a long and happy life with his adoring Mama. I got my second from a breeder. Then I joined YT and first learned about puppy mills and BYBs. Molly's breeder probably qualifies as a BYB. Though she was raised in the house and taken care of, I still think Molly's breeder is just out for the money. Good work, girl! Kathy |
