| When we got Chewy fixed, it was really hard to hand him over and walk away!!! I cried so hard after I handed him over. I tried so hard to be strong so he wouldn't see me cry!!! Honestly, he was so tired after we got him home all he wanted to do was sleep... I was glad we didn't have to leave him over night but really, your baby will probably sleep through most of it.

| I feel your pain. Bella is there now!!! She got fixed yesterday and had to spend the night! They called and told me it went fine, but I just miss her so much!!! I can get her at 10:00am, so I am counting the minutes!! I'm sure Chloe will be fine. We will be praying for her (and you too!!!)

| I wish Chloe good luck. I understand how you feel I cried so hard when I left lily at the vet to get spayed, I called the vet like every 2 hours. The staff though I was crazy.

| Puddin' was neutered on Monday. I didn't want to leave him, either. It seems that the only time he gets to the vet, they DO something to him. I dropped him off at 7:30, and they called at 9:00 to say he was out of surgery and doing well. My hubby went to get him at 3:00 (when he was released). Barry had been optimistic for my sake, but when he picked him up and called me to tell me Puddin' was fine, I could hear the knot in his throat, the "catch" in his voice: his little boy was OK. I got updates every 15 minutes after that, all stating that he was fine. A little groggy the rest of the day, and absolutely back to normal by Tuesday. I realize that spaying is a bit more entailed, but she should be just fine. Dogs are a lot more resilient than people give them credit for. What she's going through right now is negligible compared to the benefits. Quote:

| Elphaba got spayed earlier this month. It was hard to leave her for sure, but she was first up that day..I dropped her off at 8am and they called me at like 9:30 to say all was well. They did have me pick her up that night, but honestly I would have preferred her to stay over. When the picked her up to bring her to me she SCREAMED her little head off. I kept her snuggled in my arms going home and set her down outside to go potty. Then more screaming when I picked her up. And it took her like an hour to lay down and pass out for the night. She was already feeling a lot better the next day, so I kinda wished we didn't have to move her when she was so uncomfortable. That said, she was back to herself in no time...really...too little time. I had a heck of a time keeping her still like she was supposed to be! |

| I don't know how big Martini is, but Elphaba was 3lbs 10oz when she went in for her spay. She did great. But the incision is definitely bigger than you would think because they needed the room to get in there and do what had to be done. |
