I totally agree with you!!! I wish I could take Katie with me. And like you said she's cleaner then most kids and I would have her in a CLOSED UP STROLLER!!! I wish more people would see it from our point of view. They are our kids. |
I KNOW!!! I take Roxy into Macy's, Hot Topic, Burlington, and I even take her to get our nails done at the salon... and when I get my hair done, they let her there, and she is even allowed at Panera Bread and Starbucks. But as soon as I go to WalMart, Eat N Park, or Big Lots (which doesnt even have food!!!) They freak out!!!!! I think its ridiculous!!! ***I have snuck her into WalMart and Target before... I had her in her stroller with a blanket over, and they just assumed it was a baby... lol*** |

These are the ones that love us, never judge us, and never say stuff like "I hate you", "I wish you were dead"... they just look at us with love, and they deserve to go with us just as much as everybody else... Kids are bad, and they get rewarded with going out to eat... Our babies love us unconditionally, and we are just going to leave them at home to cry for us and miss us??? Thats terrible... A TRAVESTY!!! |
I dont get the wal-mart thing. They say cause of the food but the food is all in a package. My dog in a carrier is not going to go lick something. Im sick of people telling me I cant have my dog in places. I wish my kids loved me half as much as my dogs do!!!!!! |
Any many dog owners feel your pain Mickey!!! We are left out because of our dogs, yet ppl are allowed to take their kids in places and are more careless with their children than I am with my dog... (Not putting down all parents... but I see a lot of irresponsible parents, especially younger parents like my best friend) These kids just run around and touch things and get their greasy paws on stuff, and my Yorkies hands are clean and kept in the carrier or stroller... They should call childrens hands PAWS and clean little puppies paws HANDS! |
I really don't want dog hair in my food at a restaurant...I don't have problems with dogs in stores(although, at least here in SC, they're not allowed, but, I do have a problem with having a dog in a restaurant..as far as kids behavior, I have 3(all adults now), and mine always went to restaurants clean and very well behaved...if they weren't, they never would have been taken back to one... |

I wish all parents made sure their kids were well-behaved and clean but I too see a lot of irresponsible parents who let their kids run wild. It really bugs me |
I am like this too MFL. I would much rather have my clean Yorkie near my food, PLUS as I said, but ppl dont understand... My Yorkie doesnt shed... I have more hair in my brush than she has in hers!!! lol... My hair falls out like crazy, and hers is so smooth and perfect all the time... She doesnt shed at all. And its great that hha kept their kids in line, I am glad to hear that, I was like that too, and often when I was young I even looked sourly at poorly behaved children in disgust. I still have that bad habit of looking, but more at the parents now. A lot of parents used to be good with their kids, but ppl like my best friend are having kids too young, and theyre not even able to take care of themselves, and her kids are ALWAYS bad! and I see many when I go out to eat... Roxy isnt like this at all... She is quiet... She is sweet, she just stays in her little closed up stroller and sleeps, so even if SHE DID shed her hair would be in the stroller... I dont see the problem here... |

Like I said, some owners of dogs need to be responsible too... if it was an outside restaurant... I wouldnt mind a retriever being out there, but the fact is they do shed... but I wouldnt mind (myself) being next to a retriever if it was in a big stroller or one of those cage strollers, it wouldnt bother me... but I dont think it should be up on the booth either... Just like Roxy, I wouldnt have her up in the booth, but I would have her in her closed in stroller sitting there knowing she is part of the family and she gets to go fun places too, and then I can give her her Cesar inside of her little Stroller. |
I think that people get sick from eating the food served (meats) then a dog sitting next to them in a restaurant. |

I dont like to use the fact that somebody is young and dont know any better. I was young and my kids had or have to walk a fine line. That said That might be why my dog loves me more than the kids. But I am not trying to be my kids friend. I feel I am there mother aka teacher. Parents these days just dont want to be mean, dont want to hurt there feelings. Or they just dont give a care. My kids are better. When did we all have to be better than everone else. I just get so dang mad when I see kids acting like little brats and the parents doing nothing about it. My nephew is one of them. He eats, sleeps, and does what ever he wants to do when ever he want to. His mother tells me thing like John didnt want to go to school today or he didnt want to get dressed today. He wanted to eat cake for breakfast. What???? Who is the parent?? He only takes a bath once a month cause he doesnt want to. Give me a break. This is a lady that was 27 when she had this kid. Ohh and he is only 5 . I have been going through this since he was a baby. Sorry for going on but I dont get it. Then they want to tell me my (dog) that takes a bath every week cant go to wal-mart. I just dont get it. |

I have seen some mean and nasty, unkept, stinky, slobbering pooches out and about. Some are even unleashed and their owner acts like its fine to let their pet look horrible, and some times they are just as unkept as the animal:eek: Not all dogs or their owners are behaved and clean, and they would think it would be fine and dandy to take their unkept dog with them out to eat too! You would be just as irritated with a barking dog as you would be a crying child! People talk so much about how parents are irresponsible for kids these day's but the same can be said about pet owners too! Just imagine them in a store letting their animal run around! |
