It seems that they could sit people with pets in a slightly separate section, or in a certain area of the outdoor patio without too much trouble. I'm so conflicted on the issue because there are so many times I want to take the furkids with me places and get annoyed when I can't, but then I can also see the other side of things too. I think if there was a way that dogs could be allowed in stores peacefully and safely, it would be awesome  |

It seems like a lot of work for them, and I'm not sure if they'll ever take that on. |
I just read your post but decided not to go through all the other postings, too long :p . . .The perception of dogs these days have been elevated and reclassified as not just pets but members of the family. Findings shows that a huge percentage of the holiday spending is caused by so many buying not just for their skin babies but furbabies as well. I am hoping in time there will be more stores that will allow us to bring our furbabies. . . . my Annika too is so well behaved that when I bring her to the fabric store no one really notices her until I am on a line up . . .she is that quite and well behave :) Now my Tiger is a different story altogether because he is way more sociable so often creates attention . . so he stays at home :p . I just always tell him Annika needs to go to the vet and make sure he does not see us leave :( He hangs out with Daddy whilst I am running errands . . .I do try not to take Annika often though as I know Tiger can get pretty jealous. :) |

Tiger's... I agree with this.. I know a lot of ppl were talking about restaurants and stuff... which I would love to do that... BUT! Whats most important to me is just regular stores allowing me to take Roxy in all the time.... I already know quite a few that do... so I just think if they definitely dont have food... Then they should welcome doggies... I just found out that Kohl's is okay with my furbaby too! |

Well, a lot of ppl are allergic to perfume, but we dont tell ppl they can't wear it wherever they want. My mom can't go out in public because of smells... She gets sick, dry mouth, and even vomits sometimes if its strong enough, and she gets a rash. Nobody tells anybody to stop wearing perfume. So, anyways, the restaurant battle is over, I just want to take my dog in all the department stores. |
Guppy goes to work everyday with me and I've found a network of stores and other facilities that allow him in. Just call around and ask. Here's the list of where I can bring him: Lowe's Home Depot Ace Hardware Suntrust Bank Michael's Crafts Office Max Office Depot (Staples won't let him in) Auto Zone Rooms to Go So, mostly these places get my business. I used to shop all the time at Staples and I buy alot of office items and equipment. Now Office Max gets all the business. All the above also allow my golden retriever Bailey in. Florida allows dogs at outside seating at restaurants, but it's up to the restaurant whether they want to allow them or not. Most I've found don't. I can see the point with some stores. If you allow one dog, you have to allow them all and there are many I wouldn't want around when I'm eating. |
These are the places I've found... Old Navy Best Buy Toys R' Us Macy's Hot Topic JCPenney Sears S&T Bank Hmmm, I'll post if I think of others, I know I take Roxy everywhere, a lot of times just to see who lets me in, especially in the summer... I have had her in Home Depot before, but I choose to hold her or keep her in her stroller when I'm there :D |
Best Buy here in Orlando won't let dogs in. I tried with Guppy and they made me leave so I guess it's different for individual stores. |
