What is the deal with all these people now days and trying to take dogs?

We've all heard of dogs stolen from petshops, yorkies stolen at gunpoint, NOW THIS! NOW it is not safe to take your yorkie out? What kind of craziness is going on in this world??..

that I'm happy to hear that you and Lexie are ok and what a great job you did holding on to her! It's so sad that this happened... you're one tough lady and I agree that this ding dong shouldn't stop you from what you like to do - be with your baby! You GO Girl!

BTW what is a GSD?

Kim, I'm glad that you and Lexie are safe and sound. I can't believe someone would actually do such a thing. I hope he gets caught soon...who knows if he'll attempt this again in the near future!

OMGosh!!! Kim, I hope you are fine. And I am glad Lexie is ok too. This is soo very scary and sad to read, that there are people like this out there and it could happen to anyone. I am so overprotective of mine and keep them attached to me at all times and still worry if that is enough. I hope that man gets what he deserves. Thank you for sharing this with us.

That was quick thinking on your part. I know that the cops always say not to fight and to just give the thief what they want, but HECK NO!!!

I hope they catch the rat bast#rd so he can be charged with assault. Since he was in the store, they should have him on video.

Seriously this story should go on the news! Kim you should call the news, maybe that way police could catch the thug faster plus I think all pet owners should hear this story! I am so glad that you and your baby are safe! I would done the same thing you did. The only time anyone tries to take my baby that would only be over my dead body!

I agree with this too, that you should try to take a little more action. I hope you pursue assault charges, because petsmart can't charge him with assault without your say so. It might reach a few more people contemplating stealing little dogs and let them know that those of us who own them aren't giving them up without a fight!
