Quick Help Needed

For the record this breeder was being discussed by others in several other threads with thier own opinions. I stand by mine.

I am very happy that you will be getting your new yorkie soon..please post a ton of pictures!! I hope your wife gets lots of comfort from this little angel!!

I ended up being contacted by YT's Tigger36792 who put me in touch with Natalie of Natalie's Yorkies, one of YT's recommended breeders. Natalie worked out a deal for me to get her Alexis puppy and we're hopefull she'll be shipped to us Friday. We're very grateful for the support we've received from the YT community, and especially from Deb (Tigger36792) and Natalie.

Ironically, less than 30 minutes after I had sent my payment to Natalia, Deanna called to see if I was going to meet her at 3 PM to make our pup/cash exchange (she called about 2:40 PM and we live at least 80 miles from the town we were supposed to meet in). When I told her no, she sounded shocked. She said she had e-mailed me replies to my concerns, but I never received the e-mails. She also said she didn't have contact with Stringer Creek Kennels until I told her what I had found. She then asked if I talked to a speicific person, and I remembered one of the names from Stringer Creek was Cia. Deanna then said she had purchased some puppies from Cia but she hadn't received them yet.

Deanna seems nice as do the people at Stringer Creek I talked to. Still, I feel much more comfortable with Natalie and I'm glad I decided to go with her.

We've decided Alexis will become Lexie, and my wife and I are preparing to brave a Sierra Mountain winter storm to get her home safe and sound and continue giving Lexie the love Natalie has already lavished on her.

I know from you're other threads that you are looking for a girl to breed. I really think you should think twice about buying such a tiny girl for breeding purposes, you could be looking at alot of heart break in the future.
I can't believe this breeder would even sell these tiny babies with open reg. could this be possible?

We are going to brave the storm. We'll leave early tomorrow - the puppy arrives at 11:19 PM tomorrow night. Weve got a hotel, so we'll come home Saturday. I'm not looking forward to it, but it's impossible to predict the weather out here.

Morkie - Thank you for your concern. I have confidence in Natalie and her pets and believe that Lexie will be a good mother if we decide to breed her. It looks like Natalie has been breeding these guys for years and offers puppies on a regular basis. I've heard that there have been a lot of negative comments about her puppies and prices, but I find it more revealing that not one person who has purchased any of her puppies has spoken up and complained about the dog they received.

Good luck on your new baby, but, please read first, most reputable breeders will not breed a dam that weighs less than 5 lbs. There was a very sweet lady that I knew, she bred her 5 lb yorkie(it was her 2nd breeding), she lost the dam, and was so devastated after that, that I never heard from her again..I have one that will be around 5 or 5 1/2 lbs. but, have decided against breeding..I don't feel I know enough about breeding, and it would devastate me also if anything happened to my little girl..Hope to see pictures soon

Congratulations on your new puppy and I know in my heart that she will be of great comfort for you and your wife during this difficult time, but I must agree with the others who warn you against breeding such a tiny little girl. I strongly ask you to reconsider, as it can bring tremendous heartbreak and I really think that this is not something you really want to experience at this time in your lives.
