Wow, no reason to throw out the "B" word for people just trying to help.

Well i also never read the previous post buti have read thru this one and can see you have not taken these lovely ladies advice. I for one wanted to breed, but after reading all this I may just get Sadie spayed. There is to much at risk and i don't want to put that on my poor sadie or for future parents of her babies. I don't know her lines as she has no papers and i wouldn't be sure what the pups may have....

PLEASE go back and read....they are not bashing you....just trying to help....that's all anyone is trying to do...

And i also take offense to the "b". It was totally uncalled for.

Good luck to your mommy and baby pups.

After looking at the OP page I suspect we are dealing with someone that loves drama and may be younger than 26

You're definetly spot on on the first part lol. But there have been people well over 26 who come on here and are almost as mature as this woman is.

To the OP: I urge you to have your dogs altered. If you want to breed, then you have every right to do that. But at least have the decency to study and learn (maybe get a mentor) before you go and create the future generations of this beautiful breed (which is currently going to crap, because there are more irresponsible breeders out there than there are responsible ones.)

I really tried to stay out of this thread, but I can't do it.

One of my favorite sayings is "Responsibility is knowing you can, but deciding you won't."

Of course you can do anything you please and you probably will. We can do nothing to stop you. The question then becomes...what type of person do you want to be? Who do you want to look in the mirror and see every day?

Do you want to be a respected, responsible breeder and have people look up to you?

Or do you want to be a backyard breeder who creates puppies just because she can with no thought to the longterm consequences?

I sincerely hope that those babies live healthy and happy lives, and I also hope that you give this some serious thought and make the right decision.

This is ridiculous....
Your thread is entilted "for those who doubted my breeding"..
I read the first thread today and you were the one doubting your own breeding, You had no clue what you were doing...The real experienced ones was trying to help you...they do not sugar coat anything they tell you exactly like it is and you took offense to that and it became an argument...you had something to come back with to everything they said instead of taking it in you were very defensive ( I think because you knew they were right). The biggest issue was that of the genetic problems that you might be passing on to the litter.

I ususally stay out of the "drama" on here and I know that some of the "passionate" people can get very nasty...but you set yourself up for this one. With all the dogs in the world turned into rescue and all the owners who have to spend so much money on vet bills and even loose thier dogs to genetic problems, they just get so upset to know that someone who does not have a clue may be contributing to this.

I don't think you meant any harm in this breeding and I think you really care about your dogs. I do think that you need to research a lot (which you said that you have) if you continue to breed. And if you continue to breed you have to make sure you are not passing genetic problems to the litters and that you are breeding good quality yorkies that meet AKC standards. You have to have the parents tested for genetic diseases and if it is found that they have any problems they should be spayed/neutered. That is just the right thing to do, no if, ands or buts....

Good luck ( I really mean that)

It's truly the sign of a good breeder when he/she says yes I have had my dog checked for the genetic things two years ago....like which genetic things. There are a few genetic things including STD's that should be checked for...like hello. Not only that the dog in question suffers from a couple genetic no-no's that shouldn't be passed on.

Just go to our sick and injured section to see all the genetic problems of indiscrimanate breeding - it's the dogs who suffer & the people who love them

Every time I read one her posts, it AMAZES me what a mature young woman she is. If only there weren't more like you, Megan

Regarding the rest of this thread, I've been taught that if I don't have anything nice to say, not to say anything at all. So I am going to respectfully keep my unkind words to myself.

I am new to YT, but I went back and read the threads. I thank all of you for all of your advice to this girl, it was all honest and well informed. I sure learned a lot. And in my opinion I don't think anyone owes her an apology, she will hopefully realize that one day. I sincerely hope that it is not at the expense of the puppies, although unfortunately that looks to be the case with her (immature)attitude.
On the other hand, I am so happy that there are people here that truly care about the breed and those dogs that are left with no one because of people who think they know it all. No matter how much you know you can ALWAYS learn more.
Please keep it up I love to her your thoughts and experiences!!!

For some of us, we do take some things personal because the way it comes across. Some of us need not be so critical. Glad your babies are healthy.
