| http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/5/prweb379585.htm yorkies were bred with 3 different terriers, to come up with the yorkie breed- evey breed in the AKC has been mixed with other dogs to get what is wanted! |

However, "designer" dogs are not being bred to create a new breed. They are 1st generation crosses. There is NO purpose in these mixes except to create cute puppies that can be sold for money. Breeders give them cutesy names, say they are rare or a new breed, and sell them for a lot of money. No one is trying to create a new breed with these crosses...just creating mixes. So big difference in the breeds we have today and these designer dogs...one was bred for a purpose and the other was bred with no purpose (except money)

| I have parti colored yorkies that are white and black and tan. But as puppies they are black and white, then as they mature, the black on thier faces and undersides turns tan just like a traditional colored yorkie. My guess is, that is not a yorkie. Just because it comes with a piece of paper that says it is purebred does not mean it is. That piece of paper is only as good as the breeder that gives it to you. But she is cute, so as long as you're happy with her, that's all that matters. |

| If the responsible elements of the dog community don’t recognize and embrace cross breeding, it leaves the market to those who only want to breed for money without any regarding for furthering and defining a breed. This is copy from the artical- I think people need to have an open mind- iF PEOPLE HAD THOUGHT THIS YEARS AGO- THERE WOULD BE NO YORKIE! YES, MIXED BREEDS CAN HAVE PROBLEMS- BUT IS IT USUALLY from the parnets that should not have been bred anyway? The problems were already there in the purebred? I think that is the way it was explained to me! MY CHORKIE, BANJO AND I SAY MERRY CHRISTMAS! |

| http://pets-adoption-sale.vivastreet...-teacup-yorkie I'm guessing this is the ad for the white Yorkie cuz the OP told me it was on vivastreet.co.uk and this has the same photo and is the only ad for white Yorkie. Notice something in the wording of ad that might give away the fact that, (and we all know this anyway) the white Yorkie isn't a true Yorkie??? I spotted something... see if you can!

| Yep... I'm guessing the other pets include another breed of dog. I can't even understand why they would even try to pass the white one off as a pure Yorkie... both puppies are incredibly cute... but why lie??

| That they are raised around other household pets... the mother could of tied with two different breeds of dog causing a mixed litter of pure Yorkies and then a cross... I've heard established breeders on this forum mention this happening before.

| LOL I just PMd you about the wording of the ad as well. Most serious and professional breeders just do not talk or write that way. They would not say "so get back coz they are ready now..." I don't know. It just seemed very unprofessional to me.
