However, "designer" dogs are not being bred to create a new breed. They are 1st generation crosses. There is NO purpose in these mixes except to create cute puppies that can be sold for money. Breeders give them cutesy names, say they are rare or a new breed, and sell them for a lot of money. No one is trying to create a new breed with these crosses...just creating mixes.
So big difference in the breeds we have today and these designer dogs...one was bred for a purpose and the other was bred with no purpose (except money)
