Also,I think that someone made a valid point....why is she in a Valentine's cup?? Is this an old picture? *SIGH*....I don't know. It seems like you are going to buy from this breeder regardless of what we say. That's your perogative and like I said,if you are okay with it being mixed and if she is healthy, then that's up to you.... Tammy Last edited by TammyJM; 12-23-2007 at 09:01 AM. | |

| That definatley does not look like a yorkie; as some said and posted a picture, it looks IDENTICAL to a Cocker Spaniel a very cute Cocker Spaniel I might add ..................... but NOT a yorkie. P.S. And for everyone asking about the Valentine's cup that really doesn't make a difference I have taken pictures in the summer time with Christmas items in the pic, maybe that was the only cup she had..

Except I would suggest steering clear of this breeder all together. If she's going to lie about the fact that that is obviously not a pure bred yorkie, then I just wouldn't trust her with the puppy's health, training, etc.

| Wait, wait, wait...first off nobody called you an idiot or insinuated otherwise. YOU came HERE and asked: Is this a Yorkie. We are all telling you no and showing you pictures to back our statements and you are getting upset? And then in the next post you ask for our help again? I'm shocked.

| Just curious, why is it you "need" two Yorkies for Christmas with one having to be a female?

| Go look at this web site- I think they are designer yorkie -so it would be a yorkie mixed with another- maltese or white poodle- or bichon But if both parnets are registered you can register through a hybid registery- In the US any way-so I guess it would be the same! A lot of designer mixes are breed to avoid problems that run in one breed or another! I would get vet references, ask to see parnets, ask for references from previous puppies owers! I'd check it out- don't give any money untill you see them! If it is healthy and you like it- get it- I think most just don't want you to get scammed! And don't want you to end up with lotsof vet bills! But it's you money- spend it like you want! That is sweet of you to get your mother a puppy! |

NO reputable breeders would ever intentionally breed a mixed breed dog. Stay far far away from any breeder that breeds mixes And in no way are these designer dogs healthier than purebreds as you are mixing two purebreds together. And the breeders that mix these dogs are backyard breeders and puppymills that do no health testing on their dogs. They breed these dogs to make money...you have a much better chance of getting a healthy dog from a reputable purebred breeder than a designer dog from a backyard breeder. Most toy breeds bred together to create these mixes have similar genetic problems (such as luxating patella and liver shunt) so the mixes have just as much of a chance of getting them as purebreds.
