| how to stop him from moving his puppy pad around! i have NEVER figured out how to make Riley quit scrunching up his pee pad into a corner and subsequently start peeing and defecting on the kitchen floor in his pen. i don't want to tape it down, because pieces of tape on a floor aren't always easy to get down. we were going to try putting the padin a litter box, but i was guessing that wouldn't work....the ones with the adhesive are freakin' expensive!! i'd rather not go down that path. what do you all do to keep your dog's pad in place all day while you're gone? we have to use 2 a day: one for all night and one for all day, and both end up being pretty much worthless because he just ends up pushing them into a corner. argh! |

| You could try a pee pad holder. There are two varieties, one is wire and one is plastic with side grips. I prefer the plastic. Gracie's pads are in her ex-pen. I just tuck one side of the pee pad under the ex-pen frame. She won't go in a litter box, or on a pee pad holder. Little stinker!

| Rileys a little stinker heehee Well Id say you are wasting more money using 2 a day and finding them useless, than just buying the adhesive ones. I bought adhesive peepads at walmart. They were not that expensive and I only needed 1 a day. Its temporary until your baby is potty trained. I would say, buy a small package of them and see if they work and then decide if this is the way to go! They were a lifesaver to me bc my 2 were tearing them to PIECES so I was going through 2 a day easily... but with the adhesive ones I was going through 1 a day and it ended up saving me money in the end!

| I had the same problem with pee pads. He'd scrunch them up or shred the plastic when I'd be gone, so I switched to newspaper. It's way cheaper and he doesn't seem to want to play with it as much as the pee pads!

| I use a liter box they work great...now However, I did go through a period where no matter what did they shredded the pads. So for about 4 months I used washable pee pads, still inside the liter box and when they grew out of that destructive phase I switched back to throw away pads - inside the box. I like the box idea, b/c they have to step in to do potty. I had the problem of them just peeing on the corner, so the pee was all over the floor |

| I have always taped Meka's pad to my floor in my washroom, and never had a problem getting it up. Shes never been distructive to it, so Ive stopped taping. However, maybe you can buy a pad holder... Petsmart sells them. I think putting it in a littler box wouldnt be the best, only because you'll have to fold it a little for it to fit in there... therefore taking away the full size of the pad... Do you tell him NO when he messes with his pad?

We use the washable ones. They are heavy and not easily moved. And if yours are "loose" or in a pen during the day, the washable ones hold a lot more without getting saturated.

| Washable ones are the way to go. I have both of the types of pee pad holders for the disposable ones. I still had problems. I don't have any problems with them moving the washable pads around or tearing them up. I would definitely recommend them. Another thing I have done (if you have the right size table and pads) is put a pad under my grooming table (since it is small enough and heavy enough) with all four legs on the pad. They really can't move it that way. Just a thought. Also I have put them in the expen with the pen holding down 3 sides, again you have to have the right sizes of pen and pads to do it. But it really helped. Hope things get better for you. If you are interested in washable ones click on my website link and click again on washable pads for more information.
