Therapy Dog Donating Member | Ahhh just seeing this thread..how is Sugar today? Hope he is feeling better and back to his old self. I know how scared you must have been and don't you worry about looking silly at the vets office. This past Saturday my neighbors got a good look at me being my finest....let Izzy out to potty (in our totally fenced in yard so I thought)...went to let her in..no Izzy....called and called her...I panicked....out in my pink robe, red jammie pants, black slippers, hair stickin out and no makeup...running up and down the street calling for her and then my DH came out to help and we almost started to get to the car to drive around the block and he went back in the yard and there was Izzy behind the garage where she cornered a squirrel. Do you have to take him back to the vets for a follow-up or anything?

| I think he is completely back to normal. His stools have been normal since last nigh and his appetite is great. He even ran around and played with the other dogs last night and he slept through the night. Now I'm just left with my fear of seizures down the road because I've heard head injuries can cause them but that's because I'm a worry wart. Quote:
They said that as long as he was continuing to improve, there was no need for a follow up. He's back to normal so we're in the clear. I really appreciate all of the concerns for Sugar. It makes me feel so good to have so many people asking about him and sending well wishes.

| Hey Nikki, SO Happy to hear Sugar is still doing well. Let me know once you read the book and if you have any questions. I found a place we can order the Kelp powder online since Wild Oats does not have it. This will all make sense once you read the first few chapters. Also I have not tried that vitamin place on US1 near Ballard - maybe I should do that first before ordering. A lady at work told me they have an entire Pet section. I will let you know!

| I am so happy for you! It could have been a dissaster as you well know. I don't think he will have seizures down the road. These things happen, and if he had lingering signs, I would say you need to worry. I am just so glad that you had a happy ending. I know the vet asked me if Snoodles had any seizures, and she hasn't. She shakes sometimes a lot, but I can usually stop them with holding her and talking quietly to her. Great News! Pat |
