| ![]() Hey thanks for the baby oil idea. I had a big scratch on my leather couch and just rubbed it with the baby oil, and it's gone. Whoo Hoo.

| ![]() So I wonder how we can tell which leather will be the "good leather" and which leather won't hold up. hha...I feel your pain. Years ago, hubby and I replaced a builders grade vinyl floor with an expensive vinyl tile (hey, it was the 80's). ![]() Much like that costly leather sofa. Anyway, it's obvious that price alone won't help you pick the right leather, so I just wonder how one knows. Id love to replace this living room furniture with leather... OMEGA, Are you redoing a room? Let us know what you go with and how it holds up. And of course, we will want to see lots of pics!!!

| ![]() Most of my experience with leather is with driving harnesses where good quality leather can save your life. The key to leather is to buy a good quality AMERICAN leather and take care of it. The amount of $$ spent on leather doesn't necessarily reflect the quality. First of all I want to say that I am not knocking any imorted products in general, but from my personal experience I have found that leather produced from American cattle, processed and tanned in America is far superior to the leather products that I have purchased that were imported. If you are going to buy a leather couch, ask to see a sample of the leather and check it for quality. If you have a question, then take the sample to someone who knows leather -- maybe a good shoe repair shop -- or if you ar truly lucky and have a harness or saddle maker nearby they would be an excellent source for checking the quality. |

I'm trying to picture what a micro fiber couch would look like....... any pics? ![]() ... remember guys... I have 5 lovely dears that let me share their couch with them. Yesterday Jolie got spayed and during the day I took an hour's nap. Dog #1 was on a little dog bed on the couch by my feet, dog #2 was behind my knees, dog #3 was lying ON my side and dog #4 was on the arm rest by my head.
