So I wonder how we can tell which leather will be the "good leather" and which leather won't hold up.
hha...I feel your pain. Years ago, hubby and I replaced a builders grade vinyl floor with an expensive vinyl tile (hey, it was the 80's).

The tile cost several times more than the builders-grade stuff. We thought we were purchasing it for durability. Boy were we wrong. Within weeks scratches started to appear on the surface, it was horrible.
Much like that costly leather sofa.
Anyway, it's obvious that price alone won't help you pick the right leather, so I just wonder how one knows. Id love to replace this living room furniture with leather...
OMEGA,
Are you redoing a room? Let us know what you go with and how it holds up. And of course, we will want to see lots of pics!!!
