| What a lucky baby to have found you. At this point, I know you have to be hopelessly in love with him. Yorkies are wonderful companions, they have so much love to give. I know that if he isn't claimed, you will provide a wonderful home for him. What a Guy!! |

I can appreciate someone who is young in spirit because I am yet to decide what I want to be when I grow up....... and here I am just having celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary! Poor Hubby never knows what to expect out of me.....oh well, he says it keeps him young too.![]() That intersection where Myles has the strange reaction seems to carry a suggestion of a traumatic experience he recently experienced there. I think that is the reason he did not wish to walk. Look how relieved the little guy was when he came back to your house with its happy associations. Did the Vet tell you his approximate age? How is his tummy this morning. Once again, I have to applaud you for your loving and generous soul. ![]() Hugs, Lauren

| Hi all- With decidedly mixed emotions, I want to let everyone know that "Myles" is really "Max", and was claimed as a result of my plastering the neighborhood with flyers. I got a call today from a home less than 1/2 a mile from me. The woman followed my instructions on the flyer, but definitely with an attitude: "You have my dog, give him back!" I delivered him up at about 3 pm today. I have to say, she was less than gracious towards me. She was happy to see the dog alright, and thanked me, but did not let me engage in conversation with her at all. I tried ("He has been spoiled rotten, what a sweet dog"), but she abruptly thanked me and turned to go. I again said he was a great dog, and that I was happy to see him home (I used his response as we pulled up and as he saw her come out...he was home, all right! jumping, tail wagging, etc...). She turned and looked at me like I was bothering her (or thinking "I told you thank you already"), and thanked me again. She did say that he was injured in the past (got out and was attacked by another bigger dog-my very fear), and needed medicine that he had not been getting since he ran off. She then darted back in the house. Well. Maybe she was worried that I would want a reward (had not even occurred to me until I was leaving her house), or that I was going to ask her why no tags or chip. did not even ask where I found him, or how. At least he is back where he belongs, and presumably happier for it. I noted at least 5 dogs milling about their yard (medium to big ones), and she stated there were smaller ones inside. She also insisted that he is Lhasa, not a Yorkie! While it was obvious based on HIS behavior that he was home, I hope to not find him out and about again. Why he led me right past this driveway today I will never know. Smart ass. But I am definitely very sad right now. I miss him already. Even the kitten is looking for him. I agree--my 4 days with Myles/Max made me a believer. Now I am a bit weepy. I cannot afford to buy a pup right now. I could do the upkeep, but not the flat out fees charged by good breeders. And Yorkies are few and far between in the shelters. I wish that another "Myles" would run down the road right now. I never cry over my wild cat buddies outside, just feed them and give them loving. But I have to admit I am upset right now. Matthew |

| I'm glad that Max is home, but like many others I feel strongly that you would be a wonderful Yorkie owner. Please stick around. We often have people on the board who have to give up their Yorkies for many different reasons. We purchased Loki as a pup, but we got Sammy from another YT member who had to give her up so she could go back to work full time and take care of her kids. Please stick around. You have shown everyone here that you are a caring person. The next time someone is looking for a home for their baby I guarantee someone will mention your name. I totally understand the medicine thing, but otherwise that lady was rude to you! You were obviously trying to find the dog's owner! I know I would have invited you in and asked a million questions! I would have wanted a full report.

| Awwww, you are such a sweet guy. Sorry you were treated rudely. It must have been hard for you. You did the right thing and I hope another dog will come your way to stay soon. You made me teary eyed. |

| I hate to say this, but I kinda wish that Myles "Max's" owner hadn't seen your flyer! Although he was glad to be home, you would have given him a great new one!! That woman should have shown a little more appreciation for your kindness.....I'm sorry that you are feeling so sad.

| You did such a great thing by taking Myles in. You are a much bigger person than I would be because I would not have returned him, especially after all the caring you for him and the bonding you guys had. But that's just silly ole me You did a good thing and he is back in his home. Maybe the lady was so shocked to see him she didn't think to be more nice?? Or she is just a rude cow, in which case, don't worry about it. You did something good for Myles not for her. You are a hero in our book Maybe someday soon you can have a Myles of your own. By the way, you got lucky, they don't usually come potty trained..haha..even a year later sometimes

| I have mixed emotions myself just reading your story, so I can only imagine how you feel right now. Please know that you were a very special angel for Max. Who knows what could have happened to him if you hadn't saved him that day? I'm sure that your own special yorkie friend will be yours someday. It just has to happen now. I'm too much of a sucker for happy endings for it not to. Keep your eyes on this site. Who knows when your special yorkie will be looking for a forever home with you? I feel honored to have read your story.

| Well, at least I have all the beginner stuff for a Yorkie: Comfy, soft tartan plaid bed Small Kong toy A stuffed "snuggling" toy small food dish (already have a Fresh Flow filtered water bowl- of course my pets will drink nothing else now! LOL) Yorkie sized harness and leash Collar with his "temporary" name and my phone on it (in case he got away again, and of course blue tartan plaid, to match the big dog's) A stunning blue corduroy coat, size xxsmall, with brass buttons on the back and of course food, treats, etc... Thanks for the kind words. I did not expect the owner to smother me with kisses, but I was definitely getting a bit of an antagonistic vibe. Oh well...I now know that not ALL Yorkie owners are like that! But, if anyone is in need of the above things, I will send them off to a good home that may be in a pinch. No charge. Otherwise, I will round them up and store them in my closet. The hardest thing is to see Max/Myles little food bowl in the fridge, with his uneaten morning ration. Be strong, Matthew, be strong!! |

| You sound like such a nice guy! I can't imagine how hard it was for you to give Myles (Max) back. Sometimes the "right thing" can feel so wrong. Do stick around YT Hang on to your yorkie stuff, too. The opportunity for you to have a special little yorkie is definitely going to come one day and you'll be a great Daddy for a very fortunate pup.

| That's right Matthew, be strong!!! You have to stick around here, you will learn a lot about Yorkies. Before you know it, you will be a yorkie daddy, I'm sure of it Sounds like that lady was rude, maybe she has too any furbabies, and didn't want you to see. Sorry she was rude, most all Yorkie mommies rock! Hope you have a nice night!
