| Ironically enough, Rochester, NY is my hometown too, Stacey. I lived there until 2000, when I moved to Ithaca. Graduated from SUNY Brockport. We should chat about the old homestead sometime. Last time I was back there was when my father died in December 2005. Well, everyone is hitting the hay here, so I am off to bed too. Good night to all. Matthew |

| What a great guy you are for taking this little guy in. Just by looking at his pictures, he looks as if he has had a haircut, so it looks like someone really cared for him if he had groomings. Have you heard from anyone? How is he doing?

| Well, Myles is not feeling too good today. Threw up a little bit. So he just got Nutrical for Breakfast, as he was not interested in eating. Went right outside for his potty time, tho. It just occurred to me that we have a new subdivision about 1.9 miles away from us. If in fact he had been given a haircut, someone must have been caring for him. The housing tract is separated from us by some very rugged terrain, however. If he came from there, then he must have covered some very scary (for a tiny dog) conditions. I mean dense woods, predators, etc... I guess I have another area to poster. Someone else called last night, but did not leave a message. Maybe they had second thoughts after seeing the flyer with its very specific requirements. He choose to sleep in the living all night last night. I did put his bed on the floor in my room, just in case. Matthew |

Have you tried taking him for a walk and seeing which direction he goes in? He might head straight towards home.

| Wow!!! My friend Corinne sent me this link last night and I have just finished reading this entire thread. Mathew you have just made my day!!!! What an absolutely amazing young man your are. Before you posted about being a student, I would have guessed you to be much older because of the level of maturity and responsibility you have shown. Everything you have written here just warms my heart, makes me smile . Social work indeed seems to be your calling, from the kindness you have shown.Myles was one lucky little guy that you found him. In a way, I hope that you don't find the owner (please don't y'all flame me for this), because in your loving care any animal will obviously thrive. You have been given great advice here, and one particular suggestion stands out in my mind - asking a potential owner to show you a picture of Myles as proof of ownership. Also, watch very carefully his reaction if an individual comes to actually see him. You could do a trial run just to ensure the validity of the recognition. Invite over a friend/neighbor whom Myles has not yet met. Watch his reaction when they enter the room. This will give you an indication of his regular behavior - does he always get excited to see ANYBODY ? My Mango does, so even a stranger could have the "appearance" of being familiar to her. What brand of food are you giving Myles? The vomiting worries me. Here is a great link for dog food reviews. A 5 star rating is excellent for Yorkies, so I am linking you directly to there: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...wcat.php/cat/3 Canidae and Evangers, amongst others, are great. Mango likes the latter because of the tiny kibble and great taste. Mathew, I should warn you that if your realize it or not, your heart is slowly being stolen. Yorkies have an infallible way of doing this. Please keep us updated and bless you again for your kind and generous heart. Your Mom must be waaaaay proud of you, Lauren

| Hi all- I took Erin's advice and became a detective (with Myles leading the way- or not). I walked him in the direction I first saw him coming from last Saturday. He poked along, sniffing the air with interest. Stopped and went to a neighbors house- but they moved out 2 weeks ago, very suddenly. He did not seem excited or that interested, but did pee in their yard. We continued on, and he became more and more resistive to walking. I finally picked him up, and took him to within 100 yards of the intersection where he did the "baby crying" in the car yesterday. He sniffed, and then promptly sat down (I have never seen him sit down outside thus far). Would not budge. I waited about 3 minutes, then picked him up and took him directly to a patch of grass near the intersection. He sniffed and then laid down. Perked up and watched with interest every car that passed. Very intent. I sat and talked to him for a while, then he sat in my lap and watched cars go by with pricked ears. Sniffing the air like mad. We then came back after about 10 minutes. He would not walk near the intersection, so I carried him, and he perked up and wanted to walk back to my yard. He peed, and then came right back to the front door, and bounded inside. Drank a ton of water, and back to his chair. Hmmmm...anyone have an idea about what this might mean? That intersection seems to have some meaning for him. And, while I appreciate being called a "young" man, I am actually an adult student, in my early 40's. I have been told I look a lot younger than my age, but I think that is just one of those "Portrait of Dorian Gray" kinds of things...LOL. But thanks for all who think of me as young...I am in spirit, but the body is starting to show some signs of wear and tear. Anyhow, any insights would be appreciated. I am going to put up a flyer at that intersection, just in case. Thanks to Erin for the excellent advice! One more piece to this mystery to examine. Matthew |

| It's been my opinion since you posted yesterday about it, that he was either left behind by someone who stopped there (abandoned) or he fell out of the car. Poor baby. Maybe you'll get a response to your flyers but I'm guessing you've got yourself a new pup and seems to me like it's the best thing to happen to that little guy. congrats!!! if you need anything, let me know. I've got tons of extra stuff from my little guy and I'm always finding bargains. I'd be more then happy to help send you some things for your new family member.
