He did not seem excited or that interested, but did pee in their yard.
We continued on, and he became more and more resistive to walking. I finally picked him up, and took him to within 100 yards of the intersection where he did the "baby crying" in the car yesterday. He sniffed, and then promptly sat down (I have never seen him sit down outside thus far). Would not budge. I waited about 3 minutes, then picked him up and took him directly to a patch of grass near the intersection. He sniffed and then laid down. Perked up and watched with interest every car that passed. Very intent. I sat and talked to him for a while, then he sat in my lap and watched cars go by with pricked ears. Sniffing the air like mad. We then came back after about 10 minutes. He would not walk near the intersection, so I carried him, and he perked up and wanted to walk back to my yard. He peed, and then came right back to the front door, and bounded inside. Drank a ton of water, and back to his chair.
Hmmmm...anyone have an idea about what this might mean? That intersection seems to have some meaning for him.
And, while I appreciate being called a "young" man, I am actually an adult student, in my early 40's. I have been told I look a lot younger than my age, but I think that is just one of those "Portrait of Dorian Gray" kinds of things...LOL. But thanks for all who think of me as young...I am in spirit, but the body is starting to show some signs of wear and tear.
Anyhow, any insights would be appreciated. I am going to put up a flyer at that intersection, just in case. Thanks to Erin for the excellent advice! One more piece to this mystery to examine.
Matthew
See? I told ya you seemed so mature and responsible.... our heads just went to the whole young man thing when you mentioned being a student. I can appreciate someone who is young in spirit because I am yet to decide what I want to be when I grow up....... and here I am just having celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary! Poor Hubby never knows what to expect out of me.....oh well, he says it keeps him young too.

That intersection where Myles has the strange reaction seems to carry a suggestion of a traumatic experience he recently experienced there. I think that is the reason he did not wish to walk. Look how relieved the little guy was when he came back to your house with its happy associations.

Did the Vet tell you his approximate age? How is his tummy this morning.
Once again, I have to applaud you for your loving and generous soul.
Hugs,
Lauren
