| Matthew, I had tears in my eyes reading about your adoption of TJ. He's a very lucky dog to have found you. I have to agree with everyone else that the lady who claimed Myles/Max isn't a very nice person!! I too would have been hugging your neck and thanking you to no end for finding him, taking such good care of him....not to mention, trying to find his owner. Many people would have just kept him and never said a word. That woman should be ashamed of herself!! Hang on to your Yorkie stuff. You'll have another little guy soon...I feel it in my bones. Bless you!! |

Matthew, I caught onto this thread late (ignore my last message as I was replying to the first post and not all that followed). Myles came into your life for a reason...you were supposed to save him from something... or, he was supposed to inspire you to rescue another yorkie that is supposed to come into your life. I think it will happen for you. Yorkies are a terrific breed. Personally, and people will disagree with me here, I think that if this ungrateful woman insists on being rude...I suggest that if you find Myles wandering the street again someday...you let her come to you and find him...if she cares enough. I must tell you, if I lost either of my dogs, and someone brought them back to me, I would be bringing them dinner every night for a month, sobbing with joy...and eternally grateful.

| Matthew, PLEASE consider a Yorkie rescue group!!! I know for a fact there is one in Florida--I don't know how far that would be for you. Google Yorkie Rescue Alabama and Yorkie Rescue Florida. These groups have websites and profile the furbabies they have available. You probably won't get a puppy that way, but they do have younger ones--I just know you would find a puppy you would love. They do charge an adoption fee, but it's nothing near what it would cost you to go through a breeder. Gayle in Illinois |

| Hello all- Thanks again for the kind words and encouragement. I am feeling a bit better today. Yes, I guess I am a softie. I worry alot about my two "outdoor boys"(the cats who have staked out my area as their territory for over a year now). Just picked a big fat tick off of one of them- Max/Myles' owner say me walking TJ yesterday and gave a wave. So I guess she might not be the dragon I had surmised. As much as I would like to scoop him up, if I see him running free again, I will just take him back, with a sterner warning to get tags and a collar on him if he is a runner. The cars go very fast down our road, despite a 25 mph limit. I suspect that even a 5 mph car would kill a dog the size of max/myles. I just worry when I see any animal out and about without leadership, care, or concern. Too often they (especially dogs) will turn to instinct to survive in a short time. Thanks too for all the yorkie rescue sites and info. I will check them out and hang around here for more insights. I need to have a smaller dog in the house, as there is little room for anything else. I would prefer to have an adult as well, special needs is OK by me...those pups seem to have a harder time being placed. I will save the Yorkie "stuff", but again, if any one of you (or anyone you know) is having a hard time financially or personally, and really needs a "starter kit", just give a holler, and I will ship free of charge. |

| Because I went online and found two wonderful yorkies looking for homes.....in Atlanta! Then, realized you were from Alabama, not ATLANTA. I posted them here before I noticed. Then I couldn't delete the post, so I just edited it, removed the info, and replaced it with "I'm a dope!" LOL! I like you, Matthew. You fit right in here. On a side note: One of the dogs I was going to post is 12 years old. I added a note saying that, although 12 is old, that I adopted my yorkie, Tahoe, at age 10 about 5 years ago...and though our time is limited, I am willing to deal with the heartbreak when the time comes, knowing that he was and is the love of my life.

| I am so sorry that you had to give him back. Sounds like he would be much happier with you than with the witch with the big dogs! Grrrrr .... this just isn't fair. There will be a Yorkie just for you, Matthew, I just know it!!

| Hi Matthew! I'm glad you decided to come back and doubly happy you are feeling a little better! I'm surprised the lady waved to you while you were walking TJ. Good sign! Give TJ a hug from all of us!
