| ![]() Well don't put him up for adoption just yet. He is ONLY 4 months. Every doggie has their own time with potty issues. Coco is like 95% but occasionally still has accidents. You just have to be more persistent. When I first got Coco, I would take her to the puppy pad in a small space like, the bathroom where she couldn't go anywhere. I would take her to it every 30 minutes. We wouldn't leave the bathroom until she went. So soon she associated the pee and poo with rewards of getting out of the bathroom and playing. Yes it was annoying because sometimes we'd be in there for 30 minutes and she would be bored. But tough love! She is great now. I take her in there and she goes right away and most of the time she find the pads herself. She is also only 4 months old. Sometimes I think we expect too much from them. You wouldn't expect a child to potty train himself/herself. It's same with doggies. It sucks but you have to take the time to take them to a confined spot. Sometimes ignoring the whinning (I know it's hard) is the best thing to do. I also crate trained Coco and now she is in a pen while I am gone at work. Hope this helps.

| ![]() I know you have heard this many times but you need to be consistent and patience. Maybe you can try crating him, i know that has work for some. Remember he is young, he is only 4 months. If you try walking him and he would not go try keeping him in a close area with the pee pads when you return home. Maybe he will start getting the hint. Good luck. Please breath in and out and try to be patience. |

| ![]() Definitley don't give your munchkin up for adoption! He'll miss his mommy! My Katie was VERY hard to potty train but she is about 95% trained right now - FINALLY! It can be very frustrating but don't give up! Here is what I did to wee wee pad train Katie (and it seemed to be the only thing that worked for me): I put a wee wee pad wherever she peed in the house. So I basically had about 11 wee wee pads around my kitchen, dining room and living room. Every day or every other day move the wee wee pad closer in the direction of where you want her to pee. Eventually the pad will be moved to the right spot and she'll do her "business" there. It took me about 5 weeks to get her down to using 1 pad but it worked! It takes patience but it's worth it in the end. Good luck! ![]()

| ![]() I think by asking him if he wants to go potty and taking him outside he is bound to catch on ![]() When he does go potty outside be sure to praise him like its the best thing he's ever done. Once he sees how pleased you are he will want to please you again. Be patient, he will catch on ![]()

| ![]() One thing you can count on when training a new yorkie is spending a lot of your time sitting and waiting for them to go...sitting and waiting...fidgeting...and more waiting. ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Maximsu is almost 5 months old..and although I did have him pee pee pad trained pretty quickly we still struggle with the poop....I could never imagine giving my baby away because of this....he is a baby..and I know he tries..he even carries his poop to the pad sometimes...I never yell, or get mad ....I tell him..Maximus you have to go on the pad..and I reward him with extra special treats for making it there (deli meats or string cheese)...since I have been giving him the special treats he hasn't had 1 poop accident (almost a week)..these babies like any need patience and love and more patience..try crate training if you have too..let him out to poop and back in until you can WATCH WATCH WATCH...but if you really think that you could give him up for bad poop/pee pee manners then maybe you should do so know before he becomes even more attached ![]()

| ![]() First you will need to have your carpet professionally cleaned to get all the scent out. Then start taking him out on a LEASH(every two hours, and after eating, napping and playing). This way he can't go running around and play. After he does his business, take him inside for a PP treat. Even call it that. He will then associate PP with treat. Maggie is 4 months also, and completely house trained. She even rings a bell on the back door when she needs to go out. She still sleeps in her crate at night. I will continue to do this, until she has cut all of her teeth. The training is up to you and how fast you want him trained. Your other dog can't do this for you.
