| You are totally right, and there have been some things in the works as we type that would allow all babies to be chipped as soon as they are born with a tracking device, but you know how that goes.........lots of folks are already screaming that we would live under a microscope. I wouldn't care, as long as it would find my child in the event it went missing or kidnapped. |

One of the micro chip commercials was on today and said that they've reunited 40,000 pets with their owners (I don't recall if that was last year or so far). Until there is the next technology, this is all I can do. And I was shocked to learn just this week that our animal control does NOT work with our human society, so found pets are given 7 days for tags and collars, 3 days for none. That's it!! Very few are processed for adoption. So if you are on vacation or in the hospital and no one calls animal control daily, the chip might be the only way to save your pup. So sad!!

| That's the thing with the chips. They're great if someone is honest enough to try to find the owners of the dog. But, if not, they are of no good whatsoever.
