| Treats will get you everywhere with pup! Man this treat thing been working like a charm! When I let Venus back inside, I tell her "to the Kitchen", and she'll go to the kitchen, I give her a treat! When she potties outside, she's watching to see if I have her treat ready! She comes straight for the treat, while she's pottying. Really funny to watch, pottying, and heading toward me at the same time. Like step, slowpee, step slowpee. I need a video camera! She knows when I say "good girl" she's going to get a treat. Also when I take her out of the pen in the kitchen, and tell her "back door" she goes through the house to the back door. She seems to be learning quite well, and fast too. Gets off track once in a while, but usually because Adonis left something out to chew on, and she's after it. She goes outside, and on pee pads. Now poop, she's still missing the pads 1/2 the time when she goes on them. But improving. When I see her hit the pad, she gets a treat! |

| Wow, I'm jealous! Ferdinand knows when we say "good boy!" he gets a treat - but potty training isn't working out so well. He starts training at PetSmart next week though, so hopefully that will help.

| I keep a baggie of Adonis's food in my pocket for Venus. Baggie needs to be replaced every 3-4 days, to prevent blow outs! Yea, I had a blow out with one. Venus loves Adonis's food! And I also have some of Venus's food in the baggie too for Adonis, so he won't feel left out, when he does the same thing she's doing, and getting a treat for it! I was using Adonis's treats and cutting them up in really small pieces till someone here suggested her food for a treat. Thats when I decided, since she was always trying to steal his food, I'd use that as a treat. Venus is 15 weeks old, and Adonis is 5 years old, and of course they don't eat the same food. |

| That's really cute. They do learn fast. You know that Kacee won't come in the house after pottying until I say, "Good girls get cheese."

| Yea, my sister was over and she said "good girl" when Venus started pottying....whole time I'm saying shhhhhhhhh! Venus stopped, in the middle, and was looking for her treat! I make sure she's through before I give her a treat. She's been waking me about 2 times at night to go outside. Crate by the bed is working out great! So glad I can fall back asleep when we get in! |

| Our CoCo will do anything for chicken. By using the clicker with the chicken, she was 80% potty trained in the first 24 hours we had her (12 weeks old). In general, I think potty training is easier when using a litter box or pan, as the potty pads look too much like carpet, so the puppy will be confused when getting in trouble for going on the carpet. Having a seperate partitioned area for doing her business, it's much easier to understand exactly where she needs to go. The box or pan also greatly reduces the puppy's chances of missing the mark, as the sides of the litter box prevent the puppy's behind from hanging outside the potty area. |

| What treats do you give your puppy? I have tried three different types of puppy bones and she wont eat any of them. she just stars at them like what the heck is that. Ive tried breaking it up so she can eat it easier but no luck. |

| Did you try boiling a pack of boneless 100% chicken from the super market? That's what I do, and every yorkie that I know of goes crazy over the tiniest crumb of chicken. It only takes 30 minutes to boil a weeks worth. |
