Our CoCo will do anything for chicken. By using the clicker with the chicken, she was 80% potty trained in the first 24 hours we had her (12 weeks old).

In general, I think potty training is easier when using a litter box or pan, as the potty pads look too much like carpet, so the puppy will be confused when getting in trouble for going on the carpet. Having a seperate partitioned area for doing her business, it's much easier to understand exactly where she needs to go. The box or pan also greatly reduces the puppy's chances of missing the mark, as the sides of the litter box prevent the puppy's behind from hanging outside the potty area.
