 Treats will get you everywhere with pup!
Man this treat thing been working like a charm! When I let Venus back inside, I tell her "to the Kitchen", and she'll go to the kitchen, I give her a treat!
When she potties outside, she's watching to see if I have her treat ready! She comes straight for the treat, while she's pottying. Really funny to watch, pottying, and heading toward me at the same time. Like step, slowpee, step slowpee. I need a video camera!
She knows when I say "good girl" she's going to get a treat.
Also when I take her out of the pen in the kitchen, and tell her "back door" she goes through the house to the back door.
She seems to be learning quite well, and fast too. Gets off track once in a while, but usually because Adonis left something out to chew on, and she's after it.
She goes outside, and on pee pads. Now poop, she's still missing the pads 1/2 the time when she goes on them. But improving. When I see her hit the pad, she gets a treat! |
