Hi and thanks but I wasn't offended. I just felt like many times on line, when someone reads something too quick, they misunderstand.

| I don't agree with spanking or rubbing their nose in it. Every dog I have ever had is well bahaved and I have never spanked them. I think that especially with Yorkies a stern NO works well.

| Jazzy pooped on my couch last night right when I was sitting next to her. Yeah I wanted to smack the crap outta her but I just put her on the floor and gave her the slient treatment for the rest of the night. She has never pissed or pooped on anything other than the floor. I don't know what she was thinking about. |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | OMG I would never hit my baby girl! I dont care if it's a light tap or what ever but there is no way on this earth I could ever hit her!!!!!! I don't spank my children, I'm the softy around my home and my kids know it, I think there are other way to disipline then resorting to hitting, yeah maybe in the boon days people hit, but I'm sorry I think thats cruel. I use a water bottle to train Lillie, one squirt on the head and she knows she did wrong, she hates water so this works for us, she see's that water bottle and she goes running for shelter lol |

| First feeding ham now this..lol I seem like such a bad mommy. I pat Kelsey on the bottom when I punish her..only if it's something really bad like biting or going potty in the house, ruining my shoes, etc. She knows better. A quick little pat on the bottom she knows what it's for. Some of these posts are so biased b/c everyone is either really for it or against it...hmm.

I don't think your a bad mommy...A pat isn't going to hurt your baby, but yes a lot of people have strong opinions about it (dont let them tell you your a bad mommy!) As for the ham, I had no idea that was bad for dogs either!!!

couch! I was beside myself but when I saw him flinch it near broke my heart. I found other ways to repremand him. Verbal scolding does work, eventually! | |

I am sooo sorry, Did she want the whole couch to herself? Sissy was sitting on my "shelf" one day while I was sitting relaxing in the recliner, Chloe wanted up there, I'm big but not that big, one has the "shelf" and one sits below on my lap. When Chloe insisted, Sissy sat up and pp-ed on my "shelf" I was so surprised and amazed - I didn't nothing

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | I don't believe in smacking or spanking any dog. It is amazing how quick they learn from just telling them, and when a puppy sometimes that takes awhile but patience is really the key word. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I really don't like it. I don't know why, I just wouldn't do it. Think about it this way, if you were potty training your children (skin kids), would you spank them every time they had an accident? I sure wouldn't. It also depends on the dog. For instance, if I were to hit our new yorkie, Maddie, (not that I would ever hit her or one of the others) it would probably break her heart. She's so sensitive. My neighbor has a golden retriever (not quite a year old yet) and he always manages to get under their fence into our yard. Bill hits him every time he catches him. and it hasn't stopped him yet. i'd say something to him, but I'm going to have to have him for a teacher next year, and I'd rather not deal with that.
