| I got the litter box and litter from Petco (SecondNature brand). I read somewhere that you're not supposed to use cat litter because dogs will eat the litter since it's smallb ... and the cat litter is harmful if ingested. Mind you, Rocky chews on the litter pellets even now but it's supposedly not as harmful because it's recycled paper. Rocky will NOT pee on the pad. Everyday, I get home and wipe up the big pee puddle on the kitchen floor. It's starting to get so tiring. I ordered some washable pee pads from www.piddlepads.com yesterday and will try that when it gets here. I just hope he uses that because I don't know what else to do. |

| This is one of the mysteries of the yorkie! They just won't poo and pee in the same place. Chewy won't but now that I am starting to make him go outside we have less problems with Big Daddy finding poos on the floor and getting mad! Good luck. |

| Lily is 12 wks old and we've had her about 2 wks. I've been trying to get her to use puppy pads. I'm home most of the time so I've been trying to watch her as closely as I can, she's was gated in the family room, but chewed a hole through the gate and is now able to use her hole like a doggie door. I think she's been pretty good about peeing on the pad (I look around the house for puddles), but not pooping on the pads. I'll put her on the pad and tell her to go potty and she'll get off and go in the corner or the other room. Sometimes she goes pee on the rug or floor too. I just bought the scented pads that are supposed to smell like grass to encourage them to go. My question is once they start going around the house will they go on the pads? For those of you who've been successful with training did you use any particular type of pad? How long did it take? How did you train? I've been just using the pads and figure once she gets the hang of using the pads regularly I'll put them in the box. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

| Same here. Freaking shoot me. I think the first problem would be to say "No" when they're pooing - then they think it's bad or wrong and they hide from you when they go the next time. Stewie was going #2 in the back of my closet for about a week until I finally realized it. He was hiding from me for sure.
