Lily is 12 wks old and we've had her about 2 wks. I've been trying to get her to use puppy pads. I'm home most of the time so I've been trying to watch her as closely as I can, she's was gated in the family room, but chewed a hole through the gate and is now able to use her hole like a doggie door. I think she's been pretty good about peeing on the pad (I look around the house for puddles), but not pooping on the pads. I'll put her on the pad and tell her to go potty and she'll get off and go in the corner or the other room. Sometimes she goes pee on the rug or floor too. I just bought the scented pads that are supposed to smell like grass to encourage them to go. My question is once they start going around the house will they go on the pads? For those of you who've been successful with training did you use any particular type of pad? How long did it take? How did you train? I've been just using the pads and figure once she gets the hang of using the pads regularly I'll put them in the box. Any help is greatly appreciated. |
