Suggestions, plz... I got my 6month old puppy on the 8th of this month. He's been doing fairly good potty training... Except when it's raining or right after its rained. At first, I thought it was just because it was actually raining, so I bought him a little raincoat. He didn't like it and still wouldn't go in the grass to potty. He paced back/forth from the edge of the dry section to the door, over and over. I stood outside with him for almost 30 mins, but no luck. But, as soon as I bring him in, he goes to the darkened hallway and goes potty. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions would be welcome, plz.

None of my dogs like going out in the rain! Little prima donnas! LOL I have found consistency to be the best solution. If they potty in the house, I say No and take them right outside....every time. I also use a timer throughout the day when puppy training. That way, I never lose track of time. Eventually, they get the idea that potty happend outside regardless of weather conditions They will now do their business fast when it's raining to get back in the house faster! LOL Good luck!!

It understandable that your pup isn't pottying outside in the rain. I know I wouldn't lol. In your case I would suggest indoor puppy pads for bad weather and outdoor training for when the weather is better. That way he won't track mud or get wet. It's really your call. Tessa and Daisy does both and are trained to potty on command. Your baby is still a puppy so I wouldn't worry. Be consistent, it's also a lot of trial and error. Hope you find a solution!
