Now only the youngest does (10) as even the pet steps are too hard on our now oldest ST (12). Our ST Keesha normally sleeps down below my feet. Our Yorkie, Lexi, sleeps on her baby blanket on the outside of me so she isn't next to my husband (as she likes to try playing with my husband). I am not crazy about her sleeping there though as I fear her falling (have thought about getting a child's bed guard for our bed). I do basically sleep almost in the middle. I am so surprised that Lexi stays on the bed (as she has learned to use the doggie steps on her own) & for the most part leaves Keesha alone & has learned that the bed is for sleeping, not playing. FWIW, my husband was of the type to not have a pet sleeping in HIS bed but they all have wrapped him around their paws. My husband would fall asleep on the sofa with our dogs & after that it was easy to transition to the bed. So, there is still hope for your husband too.

| Brutus has never had an accident in bed. He is just a little over 5 months old. He is on a regular schedule. He gets up with me at 5:15 - goes potty, then goes back to sleep until about 7, which is when he eats breakfast. My husband has mixed feelings on it as he does get up at 5:30 to take him out on the weekends and isn't always to happy about it. He has even said "that's it, no more sleeping in bed on the weekends", then guess who brings him up to bed? - That's right, he does. I am sure as Brutus gets older he will be able to hold it longer. The time change may take some adjusting to...... I had potty pads down by the back door so if he had to go when we were not home he would use that versus the floor. I have since pulled them up and he goes outside. Even if he is upstairs with us, he will come and scratch my leg, and then outside we go. I am curious to see what happens when the snow comes, hopefully it will be a quick in and out.

| I will add that it is hard to have a bad day when you wake up to puppy kisses every morning.
