| Why does my pup growl and get aggressive with my children and others? Hi Rudy will be 7mths 7/25 he is sweet the kids can hold him love him and he is fine, but than there are times which I thought was playing a normal pup play where he growls and goes to bite their hands like rough housing w/ them. However he likes to bite on my kids clothes and yank at them and growl at the same time which can be scary for them. Also I had a friend over the other day and he started to do the same to her. Even if i give the kids the leash to take him out in the yard he starts growling biting at their pants leg and wont walk to do his business. Is this normal pup play or is he gonna be aggressive? I dont remember this behavior w/ my other yorkies. I tell him no when he does this and tap his behind but it gets to be annoying cause he can totally be fine than if they run or walk fast by him he starts with that behavior Thanks |

| Thank you! I figured it was playing, but he can sound really mean even when the kids hear and see it. I can be holding him and they are walking by and he is doing this and trying to get out of my arms to go get them. Will this change after one year old? Thanks Denise |

| To me that last bit you said about you holding him and they walk by and he lunges for them sounds aggressive. I would not allow that to happen. Firmly and quickly touch his neck with your two first fingers and say NO. That should stop any behavior he is doing that is bad. It's similar to a mommy dog quickly and firmly nipping the pup to show her disapproval of that behavoir.
