| Will not stop crying for treats! Our guy Lenny cries ALL THE TIME for treats. HE eats in the morning and night and has what is recommended we also give him carrots and peas for treats. He has enough food, but he will sit by the fridge or the treat drawer and cry and scratch at them until we give in! last night he cried for an hour!!! How can we stop this?!?! |

| Reward him with treats at another time and place when he is not crying. Move away from the treat drawer when you give them to him. We make a game of it during this long, cold winter . . called 'find the treats'. I hide them all over and then they get to sniff them out. They love it; and treats are not associated with one particular drawer or location.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My Pixie does the same. They get fed 3 meals a day and potty treats. Pixie will not give up until she gets her treats. I think she is bored. I am trying to not give in to her begging but it is hard as she can usually out last me. Is Lenny the little guy you got from Susan? Pixie and Roxie are from her. Roxie never bugs me for treats. I hope you get some good ideas.

| Maybe put the treats in a puzzle toy to keep your pup occupied instead of them just coming from the drawer and whining??? I'd also recommend moving the treats out of the treat drawer and perhaps showing them there is nothing in there? They are pretty smart they might get the point that there aren't anymore to be found there? Yeah I have no clue. Mine hardly make a peep, except when I leave the room for too long . |

| Every time he whines and you give in, you reinforce his whining and begging. As hard as it might seem, the first thing you need to do is get tough and not give in to him. If you do give in, you are saying "good boy, good whining." The suggestions to put the treats in a different place are very good. The only thing I would add to that is when you do give him a treat, make him work for it, that is make him do something like a sit or trick of some kind.

| How much does he weigh? I am wondering if you should be free feeding. Maybe he is hungry. My Zeke begs at times also, but we kdo not always give in to him. |
