Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | In no way is this animal abuse. Personally I would prefer Poppy to be trained outside (we are working on it). But then I live in a house with a large fenced in garden, if I were living 15 floors up then without a doubt I would be using pads.

| My moms pee pad train their pups. I prefer my dogs to be trained that way. Since I show dogs, I don't want to have them eliminate in public areas where they run the risk of picking up who knows what. Since we stay at hotels a lot, it's easier to put them in an x-pen to do their business. Potty places outside a NY hotel aren't plentiful. Much less desirable in a snow storm, in your pajamas at 5 in the morning.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I use pee pads as well. Might as well because accidents can happen, in fact I don't see any correlation to it as being abusive - more so the opposite. My dogs spend time in and outdoors but prefer being indoors sometimes. They say yorkies are great apartment dogs, Mine are practically housebroken and get tons of exercise both in and outdoors they are very intelligent

| Mine get tons of exercise just running around my house. Mine are both pee pad trained and I have no intentions of ever changing. I can go out and not have to worry that I need to get back to let the dogs out and I can sleep in on the weekends too.

| "animal abuse", that is an unnecessarily judgemental comment, and i'm sure it caught you off guard. ick. I also live in a high rise and I know that a lot of the dog owners here use potty pads. A lot. |
