My moms pee pad train their pups. I prefer my dogs to be trained that way. Since I show dogs, I don't want to have them eliminate in public areas where they run the risk of picking up who knows what. Since we stay at hotels a lot, it's easier to put them in an x-pen to do their business. Potty places outside a NY hotel aren't plentiful. Much less desirable in a snow storm, in your pajamas at 5 in the morning.
