| Heart broke I am hoping that the Mods will leave this up and let us do a little healing. I am just so upset about Mindy and the out come of the last few days of trying to get her to help. We involved really wanted to reach out and get that little one safe and it is very tough when we fail. The owner is not here to defend herself so it is not fair to comment anymore on the situation but maybe we can discuss what we learned and what we could have done better and how we do a joint front to help. I really do not like loosing a dog that I think could have got help and could have been saved. So for the next time and there will be what do we do differnet. JL

| I followed a little bit of this thread, but thought rescue was getting involved and it was a done deal. What I have done, as an IG rescue rep, when a dog needs to be saved fast, and transport needs to be arranged, is have the dog boarded or I've gone through a list of my adopters and friends and asked them to take the dog for a very short time, days only. In this instance, I realize you didn't have much time to make arrangements. I also try very hard, no matter the scumbag, not that Mindy's mom falls under that catagory, to act understanding and sympathetic until I get the dog and a signed release form. After that, I don't care, I feel free to say what I think. But until I legally get the dog, I try to only be nice and sympathetic. Even when I have taken dogs from people who could care less what happens to the dog, I try to be unbelievably nice. And I can tell you, I have been tested. It's a shame someone doesn't have the OP's email address to try to reach out to her to get the dog. It might be a good idea to check the shelters in the area to see if a yorkie gets turned in to them. I'm really sorry this ended up the way it did.

| *I was communicating via email for days with her and up until this afternoon at 3:15 pm she was still talking with me. She also gave me her phone number. But someone took it upon themselves to once again go behind our backs as a rescue and manipulate the situation. I've emailed Karla this evening and there is still an offer on the table. She has not responded. Believe me there have been plenty of dogs that have been saved on this board from YHR. It has only been recently that someone if throwing monkey wrenches into the equation and undermining what we have tried to accomplish. Even though others have asked this person to back off she still insists on causing problems. Nothing will be accomplished with this type of behavior going on behind the scenes to intentionally fill peoples heads with falsehoods. Mindy as far as I know is still alive but after what has happened this afternoon I seriously doubt that she will have any further communication with me. This all was a terrible injustice to a poor defenseless dog that didn't ask to be put into this situation. I do know how to handle myself when it comes to rescues. If you remember I was able to get Teagan surrendered. I even hugged the woman when all was said and done. No on ever thought that would happen. But then again that was long before we had the type of interference that has occurred the last 2 times that we have tried to pursaude an owner to surrender. Roriee's owner was contacted accusations where put into her head about members of YHR and now Mindy's owner is saying that her "real YT friends" are helping her. Like I said, the offer is still out there and Alexandra Morgan is willing to take Mindy and rehabilitate her. There are offers of payment for the shipping from WA to RI and even an offer to pick her up from the airport and transport her. I have not heard back.

| I think situations where rescue could be needed need to be handled delicately and people should not come out of the woodwork and interfer with it.

| I agree. In cases like this, even people like me need to back off. I honestly thought we could help her see Mindy was not fit for that kind of home, even if it was temporary. Emotions are running high, and some people feel cornered. Rescue was always this girl's best option, I just hate to think it was seen as a last resource.

| I have only been a member of YT since March, but I have so much respect for all of you that continue to try and help rescue these poor babies that need help. I am still so new to YT and to yorkies that I do not feel it is my place to say anything to those people who sabotage the rescues. It just makes me sick. Do they not realize that the only thing they are doing is hurting the poor furbabies and not really helping. By jumping in a dog has lost it's life and that is so sad. I feel so bad for Mindy and I hope and pray that something good will come out of all this. Those of you that do rescues my hat is off to you. Keep up the good work and don't let anyone stop you from doing what you do.

Seriously, I don't care how many people think I'm mean or rude if I save a few yorkies from being put to sleep or getting them out of a bad situation.

| After letting Fizz go to heaven this week. I know that if anyone needs help in Ohio, I would be willing to foster for a few days while a home is found. My little guy was found wandering the streets. I think folks here do a great job. We may not save them all but we can try. |

| There is always more to the story than what meets the eye! I heard that this thread had been started and wanted to come on and say that I was accused of "coming out of the woodwork and interfering in this rescue!" I commented yesterday on that thread after days of watching and never saying a word for fear that I would be accused of just that very thing and only commented after I knew the OP had already disabled her YT account and it was safe. I commented after watching her flipping power bill be debated like that has anything to do with helping mindy! Unlike what you have been told, I am not the one assisting Karla with anything concerning mindy, never gave one ounce of input and unfortunately you guys have only been told part of the story which is that certain people have only tried to "help" and that others have interfered and "ruined this rescue!" I am not assisting or giving Karla my opinions on mindy in any way! I am however a friend off YT as well as when she was a member and without giving any opinion on what she should do offered her emotional support but not until last night! Sometimes it's not enough to just help the dog! The owner who loves that dog inspite of the problems needs support and compassion too especially if they have worked as hard as karla has to find a solution! Karla left YT because she felt like she was being harrassed, stalked and bullied by certain members and that was long before yesterday...if you research her account you will see that she disabled it the day before yesterday. If anyone would truly care to know the whole story I am sure Karla would be glad to communicate every bit of it to someone who wants to know via email and then you can better judge what has taken place. Mindy is not lost to rescue. Just certain rescuers. Karla has hired a trainer who is going to come out to her home and work with mindy and if they can rehome her the trainer is going to work with the new owners as well at Karla's expense. There are other YT members who are working with her off site to get mindy rehomed or into a rescue whichever comes first. It isn't my business to tell what happened between Karla and certain members but she followed every single lead given and will continue to keep mindy and work with her as best she can until the best possible scenario comes available. This doesn't include sending her to a shelter or PTS! I just wanted to assure people who are worried that she is being well looked after and efforts are huge to get her placed. I think if anything can be learned it's that sometimes we don't have the whole story and what has happened behind the scenes is what has caused her to search out other avenues for help. Again, I wasn't a part of that and never would be...Karla made her own choices based on the way she felt she was treated in the process of asking for help. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Anyone who makes a deliberate and malicious effort to malign and sabotage the efforts of Rescue had better go take a long look in the mirror and/or take down the mirrors in their house permanently. And btw, the rest of the world can plainly see a person's behaviors, no matter how much people try to hide/fake/mask who they really are. It's always all right there. Unfortunately, ya just can't hide from yourself - and so when you reveal yourself here, you can be darn sure we can see who you are (even if/when you can't ). Sabotage: Treacherous action to defeat or hinder a cause or an endeavor; deliberate subversion. Malign: to speak harmful untruths about; speak evil of; slander; defame
