| Smaller Yorkie=Less time they can hold it? Forgive me, but I am new to Yorkies... My friend has a 5 lb Yorkie & she told me that small dogs can typically hold their pee/poo for less time. For example, her 5 lb dog can typically hold his pee/poo for 5 hours. Have you heard this rumor? What do you think? My foster Yorkie, Sophie, is a little over 3 lbs. Is it too much to expect her to hold it for more than 3 hours? |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I Have a 3 lb Yorkie, and she can hold her pee for a really long time. We go out at 7 a.m and she probably won't go again until around 2 or so. Although if it is a sunny day she goes out more and probably pee's more. But when she knows it's raining she doens't drink that much water because she HATES to get wet. But every dog is different.
