YT 2000 Club Member | Nope.. all of my dogs sleep in thier kennels at night. Lexee my toy poodle on occasion gets to sleep in the bed, but I worry so much about her getting sqooshed that I dont generally let her. Tucker was crate trained from the very beginning and wont sleep on the bed, he walks into his "bed" everynight when we go to bed.

| Maddie had a larger wire type crate for during the day and started sleeping with me at night. After a couple of times of her waking and jumping off the bed at night before I could catch her, I brought her plastic travel crate and put her in it at night on top of my bed. She is now 2 and when I say bed time, she runs to my bed, up the stairs and into her crate. She will actually whine at me until I close the door. She has a big soft bed with a big fluffy blanket and absolutely loves it in there. Occasionally she will whine and I will open the door and she gets out and snuggles up next to me. But as soon as I move to get comfortable, she huffs and gets up and goes back to her bed. If she is tired, she will just go by herself and put herself to bed. Sometimes I go to my room to take a shower and she's already put herself to bed. She gets very fussy if I don't stay in the bedroom but go back into the family room to watch tv. |

| Sherman sleeps with us in bed and Bella did for a bit when she was a pup but now sleeps under the bed unless she is REALLY cold. Both have since they were little pups and we have NEVER had an acccident of any kind.

| We have had our pups for 3 1/2 years (rosco) & 1 1/2 (lulu) and we crated trained them both. They sleep with us unless they are sick, they have accidents once in a while ( we have a new baby girl) and they do it to get our attention. a new baby in the house is definitely a new thing for them, as long as we pay enough attention to them they are fine. so my suggestion is crate train first then its up to you if you want to have your new pup sleep with you or not. |

| Tito sleeps with me when I forget to put him down. I dont really mind it, when I move he moves. I have my little corner and he has the whole bed for him self. He waits till morning to go pee peez. If he has got to go or drink. He wakes me up. He just curles up in right up in my arm pit and falls asleep. Whatta little buger. If under the covers he will dig his way in. and If Im not under the covers me scratchs my sides to put him under. Whatta spoiled little dog, I love him to death so it doesnt matter |

| My mini dachshund sleeps with me in the big bed...Sophie, my foster Yorkie, sleeps in a crate that is elevated so she can see us. She seems happy to sleep in the crate. I worry that I'll hurt her if she sleeps with me; she's a small Yorkie at only 2.14 lbs! |

| babes sleep great with mom & dad amazing that even as lil puppies, they sleep all night ... what a wonderful way to wake up, too. They seem happy during the day - when I'm busy - for short spurts ... in their little individual crates, but we all sleep best cuddled up together at night. These pups have added so much love to our lives. |

[Side note: Every dog is different....for example my Bella had horrible, TERRIBLE separation anxiety right from the very beginning!! She HATED to not be wherever I was. Occasionally, she'd voluntarily crawl into her crate to nap when she was sleepy, but for the most part mommy's lap was prime real estate! My aunt's Yorkie, however, LOVED being in her crate when she was a puppy! She kept it in her bedroom at all times (which was right off the living room so not far), but she'd voluntarily go in to conk out all the time! P.S. My Bella is 4.5 lbs as an adult, and my aunt's Emma is ~3 lbs as an adult, so loving/hating their crate seems to be independent of size.]
