| Every time they are doing it...(in the appropriate place) tell them, throw a party, and give them a treat... and the praise... 'Good girl, tinkle...!' Or do your business, or whatever you call it!

Thor's Human Donating Member | I use "potty" and "BM", respectively. yorkiejunkie is right, when they start to pee/poop, say the command word, then praise them and give them a treat. Pretty soon, they associate the action with your word. If Thor is hungry, he'll go over and stand on his pad, waiting for me to tell him to go. |
