| HELP - Pooping in the house My little guy is going to be 6 months old on the 10th. We have had him since 7/5/09. We are taking him out every 2 hours during the day and he is peeing outside - no accidents. Pooping is another story. He poops 3 times per day. He does not give us any signs that he has to poop. I am keeping a log so I can try to get his pattern. 45 minutes after he eats I take him out and we just walk around - NOTHING HAPPENS. I'm not sure he can tell he has to go until it is to late and he usually poops on the rug. If I happen to be outside with him he will poop outside. PLEASE - does anyone have any potty training suggestions. He is 3.5lbs am I expecting to much from him. Also, eventhough he is doing very well with his peeing outside, he does not tell us he has to go outside. If I see him stop playing and start sniffing around, I take him out. But I always take him out every two - 2 1/2 hours either way. Sometimes he pees outside and then comes inside and poops!!! HELP. any suggestions? Thanks, Elle |

If he or you aren't used to crating or scheduling, it could be a rough/time consuming process - but the goal is that he learns that when it is time to potty, it's time to potty and afterwards he can go back to playing. It shouldn't take too long for him to get the drift. | |

| Hey I have the same problem, my little girl will be 6 months old and she hates to potty outside. I would take her out every hour at 13 weeks old and maybe she would potty. I could never figure out her schedule either. She would much rather potty on the pads in the house. I tried all kinds of products and advice but she does not like the outside. There is a potty training forum on YT with a lot of good advice. Good Luck.
