| Thanks for all the replies, I ignored him last night, I got up this morning at 6:45 he was whining to death, Got him out. Took him out to potty. "He doesn't go potty, until he gets back in the house" I don't know why, hes such a bad boy. But then again, i threw him in bed with me, he whined and barked a bit till he knew i wasn't letting him out. SO he finally hop back in bed with me and fell asleep. I'll try putting his carrying crate in my room tonight. |

| I was fortunate, Bailey has always slept through the night - BUT a co-worker had this problem so she put the crate in bed with her at night - so the puppy knew she was right there at all times.... Not sure thats for you - but its a thought.... Good luck!

YT 2000 Club Member | Jasmine was brought home at 8 weeks and it was difficult to put her in her crate at night and not take her out when she began whining and then barking, however we didn't. At around 3 am, we took her out to potty and then back in her crate. She is 13 weeks old now and now sleeps all night, 10 pm until 5 am. We never let her out of her crate when she is whining or barking, that will only tell her that if she whines or barks then she will be let out. She caught on pretty quick. Good luck.

| I've seen other people mention waiting it out. As a pilot... Ear plugs MIGHT help you out for the first few nights so long as it doesn't prevent you from getting up and hearing your alarm. |

| hey its been a week now, since I had my pup. I just want to update everyone. Thanks for all the replies. I finally gave up on his carry crate. I just let him sleep with me in my bed now. He sleeps fine soo yeah. Screw it LOL. As long as I get my sleep. I do put him in there when he naps. Now I just have to make him go pee and poop outside. |

| Sleepless not here Zipper is now 5 monts old. He sleeps next to my chin everynight. I think he likes the hear beat. He has never had an accident in bed and never gets up before me. My 17 year old isn't impressed on having to mover over but what the heck. It is when I puppy sit my dtrs. 2 yorkies that the fun starts for positioning on the bed. At least they don't cry all night and it is nice to feel loved. |As long as I take the dogs out every 2-3 hours we have no accidents but out of the four of them only the 17 years old asks to go out. So I guess I am the trainned one. It will be better when spring arrives as we once again have snow showers! |
